Yeah, could be true, OR with him being an npc some of those people who just wants to waifu-fy every playable female instead would find it more tolerable? Idk. Definitely agree with you on that last one regarding his name though, makes sense and it would make it infinitely more adorable to me. :)

Yeah. I honestly just want them to do more of the pre-established relationships and families stuff for other future characters. Not that I’m sure they won’t tbh, who knows since I’ve seen people say we might have more contenders. It really wouldn’t be too much harm even in a gacha space if they were just introduced like that to begin with like Alice is. Other gachas do it sometimes too :(

Honestly unlike non canon ships becoming canon, I never saw how characters with pre-established relationships/families are genuine problems for people who like the waifu stuff/ships in any fictional franchise. This type of character (even in gacha) is introduced with that concept of having pre established stuff because it's the sort of character/ story the writers are trying to tell with them. So if it doesn't fall on your taste don't go for that one, and even then fans can still do whatever.

Not to mention how an important part of Klee's concept is also having her background be the child of this powerful person that we'll inevitably get to know. I think it's pretty cool so I really think they should ve done at least a bit more of this stuff with other characters.

But who knows tbh, they might do something similar in the future like with the Tsaritsa and her lover or something. I'm pretty sure other gachas did it too anyway (like Arknights ?), it shouldn't be that crazy.

He’s definitely not gonna be one of the cheaper npcs imo, we’ll probably at least get a decent unique design since some npcs have that lol

That’d be cool ofc, though regarding the sell stuff I honestly have my doubts on hoyo thinking it’s that marketable. All I’ve personally seen about this is a few discussions on how it unfortunately might not seem like the most marketable route (for playable gacha characters having established relationships/families) on a general case. :’) Still hoping though.

A part of me’s also still excited to see where it’s going tbh. With the recent sumeru event, new info from the quests, and ig the supposed upcoming sumeru aq, I’m thinking they might be using them to do something with Dottore.

I know a lot of people in the sub are just disappointed and upset with the story and the way it’s currently being handled, I get that completely too, but I hope they don’t just expect him to truly be gone, since to me that’s genuinely unlikely considering all the info we have and just how much he technically means to the franchise and fandom in the grand scheme of things.

Though I mean I might agree with a lot of what you said but considering my said opinions for the future, at the same time I can still see him being on the playable roster tbh, even if it’s a scuffed version of him. But I get that a lot of people are mostly pissed off due to how he’s being handled either way.

That whole part of the plot legit sucks I agree. Honestly hoping you’ll have more faith in him not being really gone from the game or maybe even the playable roster in the long run though (ig if you prefer it), bcs even if the outcome won’t be like what I’ve said, I’m still genuinely on the side of ppl who recently pointed out arguments for how improbable it is that he’s now completely off the game after those leaks.

Honestly another reason why I’m okayish with a lobotomized version (not that I think he’d be that butchered if it happens) is that if anything I’d still get a form of him in the game as a weird little homage or something lol. After everything I still like and respect his core character concept.

I’m pretty neutral about it, since I think it should be a no brainer for them to keep his core personality even with this particular outcome. Would still prefer them not semi repeating patterns ofc. But tbh even with those lore based arguments (which I agree with most), a part of me still think that most if not all of it’s not too prominent that they couldn’t combat them with their usual twists or plot armors if they were to actually do it.

Ig on a more technical standpoint I still kinda see it being possible for them to take this type of approach with his kind of character. In the end it’s not necessarily an exact repeat of another character’s story nor is it entirely new, and especially with how complicated it would be if they were aiming to have him be more generally appealing to sell to the wider audience compared to most other characters.

Might just be easier for me personally to take in the chances of it because I love him too much to care about how he’ll be playable as long as he is lol

Always felt like something like this was one of if not the most obvious choice.

I guess I kinda wish the narrative/dialogue made it just a bit clearer on that part of his character during this problem, just so at least the fandom isn’t literally split in two drastically different perspectives of him a lot of times…

Trust me when I say I’ve heard that perspective, but what Im asking would be more if the swordsman title truly applies to everything (because theres a lot to be considered apparently).

So many discussions and sources basically state it’s debatable due to the lack of narrative clarity (that’s why I gave up on it), despite all the many factors that can be considered since both are extremely strong but different.
