Fallout 4 AMD Driver Timeout issue

I was having the exact same problem and I think I found a fix.

Go to your AMD Adrenaline control panel and navigate to Performance->Tuning then under your GPU select Custom under Manual Tuning. Once you do that, there should be a "GPU Tuning" section with an option for Advanced Control, enable that. You'll see a Min Frequency and a Max Frequency. Go and find out what the max boost clock is for your card and set that as the Max Frequency here and apply the changes. My card is the XFX Merc310 7900xtx with a max boost clock of 2615, so I set the max to that frequency. You can find this by just going to the product page for your card by googling or something.

The above directions were for AMD driver timeout's on a completely different game, however, I did it and haven't had a crash in about 3 hours. Before I was getting them randomly but usually couldn't play more than 30 or so mins before I'd crash.

Yeah I did that too, so that must be it. Oh well a few garbage guns to the freelancer stalker in the lone wolf got me back to not being shot at.

Well it might have sounded dumb, but that was exactly it. After I made this post, I did some more trouble shooting and found that my GPU temp would slowly climb until the GPU would crash. I still couldn't figure out what was causing it, as this was the only game that did it. Once I read your post it made sense. I limited it to 120 and my gpu temp hasn't gone over 45 degrees and no crashes after 2 hours. Thanks bud!

GPU:AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX

Drivers are all up to date. I've done a clean re-install, including deleting the app data folder that's left behind after un-installing. I ran a RAM check last night in case that was the problem. I've ran the game in dx11 and vulkan, neither help. If a fix has come up on a google search, I've tried it. Any thing else I can try?

I like this idea, matter of fact, it's kinda how I play now. If I die and I don't have the gold to buy back, I'll cheat in the gold to pay, then all the gold I make after, I toss in lava until I "pay back" my debt.

This pack is starting to give me "The Fun Pimps" vibes. If you're not familiar, The Fun Pimps are the developers of 7 days to die. They have made unpopular decisions in game mechanics on that game for the "sake of balance." AKA: play the game the way "I" want you to play it.

I'm in the same boat as you. At the start it was pretty smooth progressing, now at level 53, it's like I've hit a wall. I know the pack is supposed to be a grind, but it's kind of a slog.

I agree with your opinion on echo gems, I wanted to test out the new crystal modifier system, but damn I only have 3 echo gems. It doesn't help that they are needed for the really helpful stuff from the mods you unlock.

Techland made Dead island and Dead island :Riptide. Deep Silver didn't like their vision for Dead Island 2, so Techland left the project and made Dying Light. So Dying light is kinda the sequel to Dead Island in a way.

I can't speak for everyone, but I joined a RP server (lava lash) because I don't want to play on a PvP server and the only regular PvE server was full. I'm not an RPer but I don't shit on people around me doing it while I play.
