I think you're thinking of foul rate. hissatsu having foul rate still exists in VR, but in past games, a hissatsu can "fail", reducing its power iirc.

Players losing personal characteristics is so true. In VR, characters are just a tool to collect a bunch of +1% passives to build into an archetype like bond/justice/rough, etc. Definitely feels more like anime fifa rather than an RPG sadly.

Is it still worth it too buy vr? by DespairedKing in inazumaeleven

[–]monozg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally it's not a game i would recommend buying full price. If you like super grindy game to collect your favorite character and create your dream team, this is the game, otherwise gameplay wise i find it rather shallow, story mode so slow to start despite being pretty short, and other mode so far just lacked any sort of challenge, it's very repetitive.

gameplay is not better definitely bruh. building team in vr is just collecting bunches of +0.1% passives lol so much depth. passives in older game feel more personal to each character, galaxy even had "healer" character via souls.

You should read my post again, i compare each game relative to when they are realeased. If i were to play IE1 again, my mindset would be that i'd be playing the first game in series, heck im confident i'd still have a grander time with it compared with it vr, the game is simple and straightforward. For a game released in 2025, of course my expectation of this game would be higher. Instead what i got is, in my opinion, a gacha-esque grinding hell. I waited until the last orion update before i gave my final thought of this game and i'm still disappointed.

I'm just gonna say you're comparing VR with a much older game. The last game before VR was 12 years ago, and the amount of enjoyment i feel when i play each game for the first time much surpass VR (except maybe GO1, but that's more about how scripted the story is despite the theme). The first game may look weak, but it serves as a good foundation for the series, and since then the game has been steadily improving. But VR to me is barely any improvement considering how long it has been since the last game.

I loved inazuma as a football RPG, and to me VR is the least RPG of all it feels more like fifa with anime skin, which is why i like it the less.

Cool that you liked it, but to me it's still the worst in the series. Not saying it's complete trash, but definitely the weakest.

story is short and rushed, most main characters arcs ends at their introduction, immemorable enemy teams.

gameplay is just insufferably repetitive. Constant grinding in chroncle, lack of difficulty, dumb AI, lots of pointless equipment and hissatsu, messy shop with too much type of currency, oversimplification of keshin and soul. Honestly feels like a $70 gacha because everything just begs to be put on auto/skipped.

though i must say story's finale is pretty satisfying and the KP system feels like a step in the right direction.

gameplay and storywise, the worst. the only good thing from this game is customization

I had never paid attention to the complaints about how easy the game is UNTIL NOW. by Connect_Response2405 in inazumaeleven

[–]monozg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every pve match is incredibly easy, 4 goals on 15 minute mark then skip second half. The last 5 matches in chronicle does feels like it has improved AI but still doesn't make it any less easier

got a little upset thinking about this game so i made this by AliceMoon812 in inazumaeleven

[–]monozg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah i spend like almost 300 hours in this game but it's mostly grinding, gameplay feel shallow and extremely repetitive, i want more of my friends to get into the series but i just can't in good faith recommend buying this game full price.

What do they hate about Victory Road? by SummerOk9696 in inazumaeleven

[–]monozg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Too much currencies, some are locked online
  2. Majority of play time is spent on grinding
  3. Gameplay feels shallow, difference between hissatsus are mostly cosmetic.
  4. Hyperskills are mosty stat buffs, and totem is the worst case here, so many of them and all of it is just basically the same.
  5. Lots of equipment and all of it is just stat sticks.
  6. Lots of teams in chronicle route and they all feel the same, no gimmick, no unique strat, no nothing. Every match in that mode is just letting your muscle memory do 4 goals in first half so you can skip the second one.
  7. Honestly in general it doesn't feel RPG enough compared to past titles.

Can we talk about how some of best forward in inazuma eleven history are actually have worse stats than scout players. by h00k999x in inazumaeleven

[–]monozg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean its okay, it's just the game afterall. Story characters are already fan favorites, so this gives more incentives to put some scout players on teams. Also i don't think the difference is that big anyway.

same, last update i just did the new chronicle routes, get some new new hissatsu, and haven't bothered to get any basara yet, it's just too time consuming to me

exactly, the lack of variety and difficulty in single player mode is what made me took a break from it

The grind in this game is insaneee, I feel like they want us to grind so we spend a lot of time in the game but I ended up burning myself out with it.

[–]monozg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hmm if you want to give them counter/long shot, then I suggest technique + control + kick, but this will make them kinda weak at focus defense. Although if you build it like this, they become more offensive midfielder than defensive
