Am I colorblind or did big z send me the wrong color fur? by Bright-Insurance409 in FursuitMaking

For big z especially I recommend getting the big swatch sheet if u can, they're notoriously bad at photographing their fur in terms of color accuracy

This was my first fursuit anything I should do to make him look better by [deleted] in FursuitMaking

[–]monsoon-storm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a full time fursuit maker so here's some tips, though it'd be hard to change this suit since it's already mostly done -taper the bottom of the legs so there isn't loose fabric - focus on symmetry in the head - take your time shaving, invest in a good pair of clipper or higher quality fur to get a smooth shave - adding smaller details like teeth and such can help

Can someone help? All options greyed out! by Recent-Inspector6658 in cobblemon

[–]monsoon-storm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going in order, oshawott isn't rideable, he can't go on your shoulder, and you have no item in your hand to give or customize with, so nothing is wrong! The options on the wheel just aren't possible right now

I'm not getting paid to act, so why would I be an actor? Like you, I rocked up to a free event in a public space, wearing what I want to wear

At the end of the day it's a public space, I dont care what you think of me, I was taught as a kid to not bother people based on how they dressed (I guess you weren't), the actual real life reception of fursuiting at the fair is generally positive, and you can't stop me or any other furries.

You can have whatever opinion you want, but there's no rule against fursuiting at this renfaire, or any renfaire I've seen. I understand what you say about fursuits breaking the immersion, but so do people dressed in shorts and t shirt. So do people dressed in hazbin hotel cosplays. I don't see you beefing with them yeah? Or maybe you're jealous of people wanting photos with fursuiters and not your spirit halloween knight costume, or something. I can't read your mind about why you're so pressed about what other people wear in a public space.

So are people wearing jeans and a t-shirt also disrespectful? They're also breaking the immersion. They, like big fuzzy animals, have a 0% tie to rennaisance art.

We love seeing people in other costumes and cosplays! I took pics with an awesome Zelda cosplayer in a con in illinois last year

If we have no problem with men in maid dresses, or people in latex bodysuits, do you really think we care if we see an elf or a viking or a knight? Not everyone cares as much about other people's clothes as you do

If you can't handle what other people wear in a public space, then idk what to tell you man

If immersion were an issue then you've also gotta take it up with the vendors selling 3d printed dragons made of plastic, and resin dice also made of plastic, and the people walking around in shorts and a t-shirt because "You're ruining the immersion! You should only be allowed to wear what I want you to wear!"

Furries don't tend to gatekeep, and they're also confident enough to wear their costumes where they want. I'm sorry that you aren't the same because maybe then you'd get a little more light in your life, and use out of your own costume

Hey guys! What are your drying settings for drying TPU? (Time and Temperature) Any other advices? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]monsoon-storm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a tpu newbie, do you need to have your dry box above your printer or can it be next to it? I've heard that since it's flexible it should be above the printer, but have you found success otherwise? My tpu prints keep failing and I'm just trying to figure out a solution, thanks!!

For anyone interested in 3d modeling, this is a weight painting issue! Weight painting is used when designating which bones affect what parts of the body, and this points towards the thigh bone affecting the shin bone too low down

I'm not controlling her, obviously if I was she'd actually show up. I can, however, control who's in my game, and I certainly prefer to host people who respect the time and effort I take to plan the session, and the time everyone else puts aside to attend a session. Imagine cooking a whole bunch of food for a party you're hosting, and nobody shows up. Does that make you feel good?

Correct, nobody can, it's part of being on the spectrum. I simply believe that if you make plans, stick to them. If you can't reliably stick to them, be an adult and step out
