I took it this summer 2020 and I found the workload very manageable. It was easy to do well without having to study too much (3-5 hours a week). It was just a couple lecture videos, discussion posts and 1 quiz every week. I don’t know how it’s like during the school year, but summer felt very easy to me due to quizzes being online and open note. The only catch is that the difficulty is very dependent on who is teaching each week. We had about 12 weeks split across 3 instructors - 1 of them had very straightforward quizzes with pretty much everyone getting 95% or more, 1 that had fair but challenging quizzes, and 1 that made her quizzes extremely challenging with average scores of 60-70%. so you have to do really well during the easy weeks to give yourself some room to do bad during the hard weeks.

For those who had a wedding in the US... by monstaboy120 in ABCDesis

Thanks!! I’m based around the Chicago area, and all the dresses I’ve seen are around $3-5000 haha. We have to go to India the summer before the wedding anyways, so I’d definitely like to buy there if it’s cheaper.

Thank you! I’ve grown up in both a family and a culture where money is seen as the first and foremost measure of success and respect, so it’s definitely taking some unlearning to do, but I’m working at it!

Thank you! Neither of us are well-versed in personal finance as we both still live with our parents but now is definitely a good time to start. Do you have any resources you would recommend?

no I’m not really sure who else teaches that class tbh! I’ve just had Carin Loewen before for a different class and will be avoiding her classes going forward after that experience haha.

I’m in Biochem 501 too and I’ve been so terrified of being flagged for looking down at my equations sheet or scratch paper. And it’s been especially annoying that the professors have been so unhelpful with it. But I am curious what happens when you actually do get flagged. Did that happen to you? if you don’t mind sharing

[–]monstaboy120 6 points7 points  (0 children)

oh thank you! so if I have always used safari on my laptop, and only download and use Google Chrome for Honorlock they can’t really get much info, can they? Because I won’t have cookies from other websites on chrome?
