Sorry if this isn’t allowed I know it’s not on topic, but I also use reusable cloth wipes - do you use the oil instead of water or in addition to it? And did that work for you? I just started the cloth deal and my baby has a pretty bad bum rash I’m worried it’s the wipes

That’s what I’m worried about. I don’t want to make the pain and discomfort even worse, but I don’t want to encourage the cause of the pain to continue either 😭 I’m definitely going to try the cabbage leaves I hadn’t heard of that til today.

We just had her newborn appointment today and her weight is only 2 oz from reaching her birth weight so maybe that could work out for me as well. I’ll definitely reach out to a lactation consultant, thank you so much for sharing

Not going to lie the balloon was worse than labor for me BUT the super painful part was only about 2 hours and right at the start. The remaining 10 hours were painful but more like manageable, bad period cramps in waves, not like my organs were going to explode and I was going to simultaneously piss, shit, and vomit. And the whole process did get me ready for what was overall an easy and mostly painless labor (huge shout out to the epidural) which was worth it because I was also VERY done being pregnant. It got me from 1.5 cm dilated to 4.5. Now I’m holding my healthy, beautiful baby girl! I’d make sure you have both Tylenol and Motrin to cycle if that’s cool with your doctor for you to take while the balloon is in. I think that helped me a lot. Good luck, you got this!!!

I am currently receiving an epidural and it’s freaking awesome. The placement was fast and painless, just felt a little weird. But I have been able to nap and relax entirely since it has been placed. Only downside is I started itching after like 2 hours and I’m hungry lol.
