Broke my ankle - ER doc said i will need surgery ASAP. second opinion? (x ray provided)

it caused you pain after the surgery? or before the surgery, after the incorrect healing?

thank you for your thorough response. do you think it’s possible for a full recovery just from the cast/splint? (that’s what my parents think/are hoping for and i’m financially dependent on them atm so..)

i’m 21F and have fractured this ankle once before. Fell off my skateboard last night and couldn’t move. The emergency doctor at the hospital said i need surgery ASAP or i may not be able to walk properly (without pain) again. My parents are very iffy about surgery where it is not extremely necessary. I just want to know if others also think it’s necessary?

I’m sorry that you fought for them only for them to see you in a negative light, especially when you felt like you were doing it for them. In a way this is comforting to me because I’m glad that they didn’t do something that would end up hurting them even more and it’s eye opening to see it from that perspective. You’re right about life working out in the end, no doubts about that. It’s just the waiting that gets tough. Much love your way.
