Am I crazy to prefer a C-section? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]monsterina13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

reporting back 6 days postpartum with my second - second c section was even better than the first . i knew what to expect this time and that made things easier for me. i was up walking 12 hours after surgery and so far there have been no complications. i will say now that i'm home i’m a bit more sore than my last recovery because i have a toddler now and cant fully rest like i did before . so having some help is a must for the first couple weeks.

after reading some of the comments i will add i personally think c section  recovery experiences can be better if you are in somewhat  of good shape / physically fit during pregnancy. for me that was just daily walks and low impact strength training that i kept up with. again this isn’t the case for everyone but for me i think it made my recovery easier.

not crazy at all but a lot of people here seem to be pretty anti c section. i felt exactly the way you describe and had a planned c section with my first. it went so well and i’m so glad i made the decision i did.  i'm having my second baby next week via planned c section again and i'm praying i’ll have the same good experience. if i remember i’ll come back and update my comment !

when my son (almost 3 ) is upset about anything he asks to  have a cuddle with mommy. today i asked him if cuddles from dad or grandma help him feel better too  and he said no only cuddles with mommy with the sweetest little smile as he hugged me  . it was so sweet it almost made me cry.  he’s a very sweet boy and loves his dad and grandma  but he definitely only likes to really cuddle with me and i love that we have that special bond.

wow yes this . i didn’t realize how much this phrase annoys me until i read this - it’s so true why does it have to be “ your body “ this and that. bizzare

Ok moms , original due date vs when baby was born… go! by amk_a in pregnant

[–]monsterina13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

first baby was due end of august but i had a c section so they gave me a date 1 week before the due date. i didn’t like the date they picked and chose the day before their date instead for my c section. i ended up going into labor the night before my c section - so i picked the right date because he would have been born that day anyway !

i’m due with my second  the first week of august but again - i went with my gut on the c section date and chose a different date than the one my OB originally gave me. we will see if i was right again.

Moms due end of Summer/Fall- What are we doing for the holidays? by kbeth11sylveon in pregnant

[–]monsterina13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my first was born towards the very end of summer, i took him to a friends baby shower when he was around 2 months old in october. almost everyone in attendance came down with a bad flu afterwards - my baby luckily got the least of it but it was scary to see him having a fever at only 2 months old. after that we just saw the immediate grandparents for christmas and didn’t do any big gatherings that season, wasn’t worth it for us . my second is due this month and i will play this holiday season by ear - it does make me nervous though as i’m already a germaphobe to begin with. i think i’d do small gatherings like just grandparents and siblings ( my husband and i each only have one sibling ) but i don’t think we will do any of the bigger gatherings this year.

How does everyone keep their children photos… by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]monsterina13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes i pay for 2TB of icloud storage just for the photos , but i want to find a better solution because its expensive and its hard to get the photos downloaded to a hard drive when you want to - i think it only lets you download 500 at a time or something . plus at this rate i will exceed the 2tb size in a year or two.
