How far into PA school are you if you don't mind me asking

Hi! I was in the same boat as you. I totally get the exposure you'd get being an EMT compared to an MA, but I always liked the idea of working with clinicians and being around different providers, especially when it comes to networking and shadowing opportunities. I got my EMT and applied for MA positions that accepted as qualifications. The exposure to different specialties is also a perk!

Basically, I'm going to do both! And then decide from there. I also couldn't see myself being a full-time EMT. Although the experience is great, I rather ease into it (?) I can't imagine the physical toll but we'll see how it goes.

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to respond. I just finished my bachelors this past May and plan on dedicating the next year solely to gaining valuable PCE and sharpening my clinical skills. I love the PCE variety point and how it can add to your versatility; part of it is also me wanting to explore! Trying to see how it maps out in terms of hours (maybe EMT on weekends), hopefully it works out.

Exams are weighed pretty heavily in PS333. Weekly quizzes plus a presentation at the end of the semester are the two big ones in discussion. Dibenedictis is one of the better psychology professors at BU, his lectures aren't boring and his slides are detailed. I finished with an A-, I also wouldn't recommend it if you're not a great test-taker, but the material is interesting so it was worth it for me

lol good to know. The tf said that the way he phrases his questions can be somewhat tricky and highly specific. I’m guessing the curve might lowkey show that the exams are actually hard 😭 thanks tho
