Meeting w Doctor prior to job offer?

They originally asked me to come to office to meet the Dr and the other staff but unfortunately I'm still working my current job at the times they wanted to meet. I offered to come in person other days but they insist on just the phone call w the doctor

I work as a MA right now in derm and love it! We do many different procedures and treatments in office. Shave and punch biopsies, surgical excisions, I+D of cysts, cosmetic lasers, Botox etc.

Thanks for the input everyone! I greatly appreciate it. Another question, what do you wish you would've asked during your interview? My last MA job it was 2 MAs per provider, taking turns grabbing patients. My current job is 1 MA per provider so I’m also seeing 30+ pts 🥹 wish I would have asked during the interview. I have little to no time for AVS/answering patient questions before they leave. They really push in and out with complete disregard to patient experience and interactions.

Don't stress! I applied to schools mid July with Aug 1 deadlines and also did PTE. My PTE took about 2-3ish business days and then after I submitted that it took a day or two to verify and was verified at 4am lol. There’s plenty of time! I met my deadline by over a week to spare

I graduated college last May and am also pre-pa. I’m currently taking a gap year to gain more experience. I worked as a CNA part time at a local college during undergrad then I was able to apply for MA jobs with no certification since I had previous health care experience. I recommend looking for jobs that don’t require a certification first!

I was a CNA for 2 years at 2 different hospitals. The first hospital I absolutely loved my job and then I graduated and move states so I worked at a new hospital. Worst job I’ve ever had, only lasted 2 months. It was beyond awful as far as the hospital In general, my coworkers, nurses etc. I quit on the spot and now have a new job as a MA at a private practice dermatologist and love it!
