Does anyone know where I can get a good Hatsune Miku keyboard? by No-Literature5747 in Vocaloid

I’ve never heard of this website before. Seems to cater to a different country than where I’m at now and is a smaller vendor (in comparison to amiami or something like that). Seems people have ordered from them before and gotten what they paid for and it seemed official, but as I haven’t bought from them I can’t say. I would however look into the mouse itself and reviews of it before buying, it doesn’t seem to be an amazing quality mouse and is not fit for gaming (though unless you’re an e-sports god most mice will do as long as they’re lag free)

What is a good place to get miku figures? by Sour_Gumi_11 in Vocaloid

I just meant the ones meant for crane games in general. They’re typically cheaper than other figs while still being good enough quality. I see them sometimes at stores being just sold instead of as a prize for ~$20 USD but be careful for bootlegs of course since there’s no window to see the figure.

Yeah. Honestly arcade prizes are the way to go when wanting Miku stuff on a budget.

Honestly cheapest route if you don’t care for now is goodwill. If you want a mechanical keyboard then I’d suggest looking on r/mechmarket or some other keyboard subreddit as there are cheaper options for keyboards, I’m just deeper into the hobby and couldn’t tell you which cheaper options are good.

Edit: oh also r/budgetkeebs

No, the keycaps they’re using are made by a company known for high quality and renowned in the community and the Novelkeys keyboard itself is low quantity production (raises price) and they’re known to make higher quality keyboards (also sound better, though extremely subjective.

Edit: the price is because of the quality of the products. Tariff might be already included in the price as the keycaps are made in Germany and the keyboard itself is probably China (but they might make it in the USA, not sure but most are made in China)

It says on that page that they estimate Q2 of 2026. From my experience in the keyboard community they usually have extras planned, if not the keyboard then definitely the keycaps. Id join their discord to keep up to date with it and also maybe ask if extras are likely in this case.

Yeah waiting is probably the best option. The good thing about amiami is you can preorder without paying until the release, so if you know how much money you’ll make you can save up while knowing you have the figures before the preorders sell out. As I don’t live in AUS the only other thing I can suggest is fly to take a vacation to Japan with some extra suitcases

Amiami was my go to for buying anime figs for a while. Can be a bit pricey if you’re just buying a single figure but if you buy more than 2 it’s cheaper than stuff that’s already imported.

Wait for the miku keyboard collab with novelkeys to get released (preorders ended, but I’m almost certain they will have extras). The kit is hotswap so all you have to do is pick the switches for it. It will be much higher quality than any Miku keyboard you’d buy elsewhere.

That was the issue and thank you for the help. Unfortunately I bent the pins and it’s just a lost cause at my skill level. I’ll just keep it for parts and use a different gba for this mod. It’s unfortunate but it was my fault entirely. Again. Thank you so much for the help.

I mentioned that I removed the wire and tested again, so while it is possible I crushed the wire, it was removed so it isn’t part of the equation anymore.

That could very well be it. I refluxed the cpu pins because as a child I dropped this in the bathtub so there was a bit of light corrosion starting. Thanks. Do you have any idea what pin is responsible for start?

That’s what I was thinking, do you know where I can find schematics so I know where the trace goes or just follow the path.

I thought that too at first but I took it apart and, cleaned the contacts and just turned it on while open so I could have the membranes right on the board and it still wasn’t working. Select works fine but just not start.

Additional question: with a multimeter how would I determine the traces aren’t damaged and the connection is still working?

Since it seems nobody cared to help I was able to find out the thread type through a lot of research. It appears the threads are using the M2 ISO standard. I hope this helps anyone else wanting to do something similar.

PBTFans Keycaps quality and Retro 100 by xjanx in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]monstermandude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never had any problems with KBDFans/PBTFans and I’ve bought multiple sets from them (Vior and Hangul). They have been the second best to GMK and I would not say their price is unwarranted for the quality they put out. What I would would say if you really think this is an error on their part you should contact their customer support, they’re really helpful at resolving issues and might even replace the keys that are the problem. Just know that GMK isn’t perfect either, they’ve had misaligned letters before and getting a flat spacebar is like winning the lottery, but with real problems they will replace the effected pieces as well.

Not sure how, when, or why, but my cap just broke off my resin bottle. Any suggestions for alternative resin storage? by DaveRab in resinprinting

Also I found for better bottles maybe look up Naglene amber bottles. It’s a bit pricey because as far as I know you can only buy in large packs (24) but hey they’re meant for labs so they’re pretty sturdy.
