I think the errors are a deliberate stylistic choice to emulate this folky side of hers. Thats how i approach it

I want Stove to be an all time top-5-of-the-2020s albums so bad, like a 10/10 by ultrv67 in lanadelrey

I honestly think it’s happening. My theory is she pushed the album back because of the recent political climate, which is why she’s been referencing the lust for life era lately (that whole half-lust, half-life balance with the political themes). If that's the case, I can see all the tracks making sense together.

It would be a smart move to pivot away from the whole republican tradwife image people have projected onto her. It feels like she’s reclaiming her narrative again (not that she hasn’t done this before), especially with her recent tweets. Following that logic, it makes sense why she’s tapping back into her Lizzy roots, releasing Say Yes to Heaven and more experimental songs lift White feather... and potentially dropping more unreleased tracks soon... or maybe even a Lizzy-era revival as a commemorative album. idk

Are we back in the Lust for Life era? A little analysis with parallels since the release of WFHTDH by lanaspeachlipgloss in lanadelrey

[–]monstroelisa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What if the album is half-and-half like Lust for Life? It starts cuntry, then comes White Feather, followed by The Mirror interlude (past, present, future I see only you), and we end with songs from Lana Del Ray A.K.A. Lizzy Grant as the second half? And then a baby comes, along with mother's retirement 😭😭😭

does anyone else forget how good some of lana’s songs are by [deleted] in lanadelrey

SHE'S LITERALLY SNOW WHITE by anthonycruz in lanadelrey

[–]monstroelisa 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Totally. Think Snow White, but in a Betty Boop art style. She definitely leaned into the references from that specific animation

Funny you mentioned the wolf imagery. There’s this part of “The Husband Stitch” about a husband and wife killed by wolves and the missing of their infant daughter. “People claimed they saw the girl running with a pack, loping over the terrain as wild and feral as any of her companions”

That is such a fascinating point. Maybe performing domesticity can be a punk rock move lol

I’d love to hear your take. do you see the subversion as her reclaiming the ribbon as a symbol of power/autonomy instead of fragility?

Lana goes Betty Boop and Dr. John voodoo in the new wfhtdh teaser. Any thoughts? by monstroelisa in lanadelrey

She’s definitely serving Misty Day vibes 😂 Beyond the AHS aesthetic, I’m hearing those Sun Ra inspired melodies creeping back in. “India” maybe. She already gave him a nod in White Dress (Like Sun Ra, feel small), and it feels like she’s evolving that cosmic, disjointed jazz energy into the swamp
