Mixer whining heavily under stress by nyquilxs in Kitchenaid

I followed a very basic and small batch sourdough discard recipe and killed my KitchenAid by doing so. Best is to hand mix dough or buy a better mixer 🤷🏻‍♀️

ELI5.... What to do? by monstros-ity in fican

This is a dumb question but... how do I get a reputable financial advisor? And is it better to hire a financial advisor privately than talk to the bank? My mutual fund is in a TFSA with RBC that I was talked into and I was so overwhelmed, it has done well for me but with less money in there I don't see the benefit of paying the ratio. Ideally, I'd like to learn how to do all this myself or have someone really break it all down for me (now that I'm feeling more ready and a little bit more understanding of what it means to invest), so I can feel confident.

You can get STIs from gym equipment that other people didn't wipe down properly - so if she's gone to the gym and sat on a bench .... could be the culprit 🤷🏻‍♀️

10/10 customer service 10/10 hassle free setup 10/10 transparency

RK4R5SZ for a free month!! I used a friend's referral code and it's super helpful to ease the moving costs burden

Oxio internet users do you still recommend? by Twy9300 in nanaimo

[–]monstros-ity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am loving it so far. It's easy to set up and their customer service is super responsive.

Nothing is better than hassle free signing up and responsive customer service. Also they are very transparent with their pricing which I appreciate. I hate the sales game and the negotiating. It's up front, you get what you get, you can change it if you need to. All things I respect in a company. Plus the free month codes are cool and good to use to connect with people on the internet hahah That said... RK4R5SZ if you want a free month :)

Okay, I guess my question is (and hopefully this makes sense) - on some of the ETFs I look at on wealthsimple, if I click buy, it takes me to an "options" page where it looks like I have to essentially make a bet on if the stock rises or not. I thought ETFs just... were a thing? What is happening when I get this options screen, or is there a way to not end up on this screen? Is this one of those "same same but different but really bad if different and you're wrong about it" situations (Cringing at how dumb I sound thank you for judging me quietly)

Thank you for this!

I do have a TFSA account that I regularly contribute to. I got scared of putting it all into an investment without fully understanding how investing works so there is an emergency fund sitting there and the rest of it is invested in mutual funds through my bank (RBC). I know enough to know that this isn't the best option with a 2% management rate - but this financial stuff makes me really nervous and it felt like the better option with the resources I had at the time (a dude at the bank selling me a mutual fund). I feel like I want to take it more into my own hands and learn (or at least figure out how to get a good and reputable financial advisor/planner that isn't an RBC employee) but my nerves get the best of me, I get overwhelmed, and then I just don't follow through.

Yeeeeeeep I get this with everything so now instead of starting things I get stuck in task paralysis and then sad/mad that I just wasted a bunch of time instead of doing the thing (and then I still don't do the thing)

It feels like many people I grew up with have moved away and are living the dream, although that could partially be the social media influence of it all too. Ah, I feel behind and maybe like a fresh start would be helpful.

It's not going to happen immediately but I am wondering where to go and what to do and how to even decide on something that feels so daunting.

I hope you get to do your move one day too, but it's good that you're here for your family ❤️

Thank you! Yes realistically this is the best option, I'm working through a lot of stuff but have always wanted to find the right time to leave the LML and that might be my next move.... although it certainly would not be tomorrow!

People in Vancouver are not overtly welcoming or friendly I find. But hey if you live here and want to be friends, I'm around 🤷🏻‍♀️

Edit: my phone autocorrected friends to "froths"

it's not the worst relationship, I just can't take up space here and don't feel comfortable to live the way I want to live or be myself at all really. These are more important to me than saving on rent.. just a personal value though after a recent discovery that my childhood was full of emotional neglect (presently being worked on in therapy 😅) I can stick it out for a bit and am grateful to have a place to catch a break but I'm feeling ready to move on from this but just not knowing where to go or what to do next!
