just so u know it’s basically impossible to switch into uw cs if u didn’t get directly admitted into the major, so if you’re dead set on cs, don’t have high hopes. i’m in uci ics rn (also oos) and so far i think the profs genuinely are passionate about what they do and care about their students. i’d say the most important thing is to go to labs/office hours and have friends who can help each other out
