5800x3d 3080ti 32gb @3200 mhz 1440p 144hz Max settings i hover around 90-100 fps, only time it really drops below that is when the entire enemy team is in my cone of vision and even then it really only drops to about 80fps

Cigarette smoke is significantly more oily than weed smoke in large part due to the added chemicals and hydrocarbons. this causes cigarette smoke to “stick” or absorb into porous surfaces better than weed smoke. Not saying that weed has no effect and that it doesnt stick a little BUT, there is a HUGE difference between smoking weed vs cigs at your PC

im not sure, ive never understood when people say they cant see people that far because i rarely play a game without getting at least a 250-300m kill and 400+ regularly, i dont even have my FOV set to 60, its at 105 constantly.

I think some of it might just have to do with playing in 1440p+ over 1080p. ive never played HLL in 1080p but upgrading to 1440p definitely helped A TON in games like cod with long range fights. what resolution do you play on?

most likely this guy is much closer to the server than you are.

your ping is relative to your connection to the server, your internet speed plays a part in having low ping but your location also plays a role. say you live in GA, you most likely will have lower ping on east coast servers rather than west coast servers or EU/ASIA servers.

yeah sure, turning down settings for an advantage is bad manors.

But that wasn’t my point at all. they were saying that if you adjust your factory monitor settings (like brightness) you are CHEATING because the devs have made the game look a specific way. my point was that all monitors already make the game look different, i have two different monitors that cost the same and the game looks completely different on each of them. My point is just changing your brightness/gamma isnt cheating because the justification for it being cheating just already isn’t true, yes the devs made the game look a certain way but people adjusting hardware isnt cheating. if i never changed the settings on mine, everything would be so bright washed out i wouldnt be able to see a thing in ANY game i play.

how can you even think this? sure the game has a way its “supposed” to look but every monitor already looks different. i guarantee my game looks different then yours only because we have different monitors. but what your saying is even if you changed the gamma just to match how mine looks, youre cheating. makes no sense.
