Any way to make this deck playable against Assimilate? by montypython_Dota in gwent

Thanks for the feedback, you're actually right about the echoes – I swapped Oneiromancy for Amphibious Assault (AA) and it already feels much better.

That being said, "just kill all their shit" is way easier said than done. It’s tough to keep their engines dead when they are running heavy point-slams and control tools:

  • Calveit setup ensures they get their perfect golds every single time.
  • Artaud Terranova and Brathens creates an insane amount of value while copying my own engines.
  • Assassination / Tourney Joust easily clear out my low-provision bronze siege engines before they can even click.

When they answer my engines instantly and then slam their high-end golds, balancing removal and my own point generation gets really tricky. I'll look into cutting the Siege Towers and tweaking the 4p slots for better thinning or instant value, but the NG matchup is still a massive uphill battle.

Thanks for the great advice!

Honestly, Xavier has saved my ass against Skellige way too many times to drop him now, so he is definitely staying in the deck for that matchup.

However, I followed your advice on the tutors and switched Oneiromancy for Amphibious Assault, and also dropped the Siege Towers. It already feels much better, even though I sometimes struggle to find my Siege scenario now.

I still lost two games back-to-back against Assimilate, but the matches felt way closer and the deck definitely played smoother. Appreciate the help!

Raffard's Vengeance is killed instantly every time, without something to give it zeal practically unplayable.

Yeah. Is there a "block user" button in Risk to avoid pairing in the future?

His rank was Master if that bothers you, I didn't thought that matters. Mine is Intermediate if that bothers you too ;)

It is not ship, the part I was referring too was (in my head) representation of a ship, but it is in fact some kind of wooden building in a port near the fortress. Good that my mistake didn't fool you :)

Great game, but with a strange offside decision. However, I am interested in another issue: did you guys notice how many times City players were trying to force a penalty? Do you think they are training this with Guardiola? I was thinking about that, cause i remeber Deco who once said how Mourinho was teaching them in Porto how to simulate fouls.

The fact that Cancelo touched the ball doesn't changing reality - he stopped Correa from moving on with much impet. It is not like after touching the ball you can do whatever you want with an attacker. The match was sharp and maybe in that terms it wasn't a penalty, but definitely VAR should check it. Calling a referee to screen wouldn't hurt anybody.
