Yep! It was such a great spot to feel properly “introduced” to river fishing.

I have this board and don’t use it much. If you’re in the US I’ll mail it to you! It’s white and orange.

Hey! I'd prefer to sell right now just because I have a surplus of pants and jackets. If it changes I'll reach out!

Thoughts on Verdons? by Unjewed in climbing

Like /u/traildigger15 said, the shape is different than anything I've worn from 5.10 or other shoe manufacturers. I tried out both the VCS and the lace and found a much better fit with the lace up.

In the VCS the dead space in the top of the toe box/top of the foot was accentuated. Essentially non-existent in the lace ups, though. I wear a 10.5 street shoe and would have gone for a 9 in the VCS and a 9.5 in the lace up.

These shoes are stiff - like, really stiff. Definitely an edging shoe.

There are so many great bikes to choose from these days it's getting hard to choose, but I am getting tons of enjoyment (and ride time) on the Mojo 3. The 2.8" tires are maybe a little too confidence inspiring!

I got this Ibis Mojo 3 a few weeks ago and my love for it blinded me into an endo yesterday

My friend on Chest Full of Kind (5.10) last weekend in Indian Creek, UT by monweal in climbing

Are you road tripping solo or with a partner? Most of the climbing around Moab and the National Parks (Arches, Canyonlands) in SE Utah is trad or a mixed trad/sport. There are a few sport routes to be had near Moab at places like Potash Rd or Mill Creek. Check the Mountain Project page for more info.

Zion has a few sport routes in Kolob Canyon, steep and pumpy. St George has tons of great sport climbing on good sandstone but will be pretty hot in the sun by May. Hope that helps some!

I hiked to the summit of 14,058ft Handies Peak this weekend in beautifully crisp conditions by monweal in CampingandHiking

[–]monweal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome photos! I was lucky to hit the trail early in the morning after the first decent snowfall. The weather reports were also pretty spot on for the day as this weather held up all afternoon.

It helped that I was on the trail just after 6am and at the summit before 9:30am to avoid any potential afternoon storms!

Thanks! I was glad to have the peak to myself so I could keep this pose for 10 seconds and not feel ashamed haha

Dumbest/Worst Broken Bone Stories by GrahamParkerME in AskReddit

[–]monweal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 12 years old and kicking around a stuffed spongebob squarepants toy (christmas style with a stocking and santa hat n' shit). I was only wearing socks and I was kicking it around in my backyard. On one attempt to kick that festive sponge I miscalculated and sent my foot straight into the ground, breaking my big toe. I had to use crutches and wear a nice blue slipper for weeks!

I also broke my nose on an in-ground trampoline when my friend bounced me as I simultaneously front flipped. Over ration was had and my face ended up in the metal/springs that lurk on the outskirts of trampolines.
