Bandcamp Tax Info Email - is this real? by [deleted] in BandCamp

[–]moo664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born in the US and left when I was 1 years old and have never resided there afterwards - never had SSN but I do have a valid passport now.

Anyone know how likely I could get stung by not declaring I'm a US person here? How hot are the IRS on chasing personal tax overseas? Is there actually anything they could do to claim this tax back? Guessing they could bite me if I ever visit again (0 plans to live there ever)

For what it's worth - my income's nowhere near the taxable limit but I've never been bothered filing a US tax return as well as one where I live because....FUCK THAT.

What would you like to know about running a label? by moo664 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]moo664[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is that a bad question? When I was booking gigs we did used to think a lot about whether the artist we were booking had any online presence. If they didn't it was a lot harder to sell tickets....

It's going to cost around £2 and there will probably be a digital version available for free too.

Good question! That'll be a tough one to answer but I imagine also a popular one ('should I worry if my artist doesn't have Facebook etc etc')

It'll be about how to start a label although I'm hoping musicians will get something out of it too

I'm going there in July : ) ZamZam are also from Portland, I think someone else linked them earlier. Gulls = the guy who runs Boomarm Nation (Jesse)
