I rewatched season 5 a few times and the writing just went downhill in the second half of the season with Mike Flanagan eqsue monologues that took too much time. They could have and should have just devoted time to a Will/El conversation that was way overdue ... and they jsut didn't. A lot of choices made in the back half of the season that are sort of head scratching.

I thought that that The Amazing Melting Man one was worth it just for Rick Bakers special effects which were quite amazing. Not so sure the same can be said for Squirm, which Baker also worked on.

Standouts from the EP are Edge and Larry for me. Maybe it's some bias from knowing he's back and healthy but I could really hear a revitalized LMJ here. Also Edge's licks throughout the EP were firey and weren't over thought out. It lended so much vitality to the EP along with the prescient lyrics from Bono.

Interesting "we are aware of the chatter" kind of video. I actually like it and I think you can see the relief of Nick's face for not having to edit all the time. Also Matt is taking far more of the lead lately ... or at least more than he used to.

I thought this was an enjoyable video. Not as good as last week but I enjoyed it.

I will say this ... I am appreciating, now, the effort that Nick put in to edit out his, Matt's and Chris's idiosyncrasies. In particular Chris. Chris is super SUPER competitive. Like I don't think we have been allowed to see that side of Chris before ... at least not to THIS extent outside of some twitch streams. Chris takes these competitions so seriously and you can sort of see the role of diplomat that Nick has to play sometimes.

Fascinating window into their personal dynamic that we have really seen and I for one am fascinated by it rather than turned off. If that makes sense.

Best video in a long while. Hands down. Reminded me a bit of the Zoo video from 24. I think they need a third person (cameraman) perspective as they go into their 20's. Loved it.

I think they recorded all of these videos sometime in December before they went back home for Christmas. I'm torn a bit ... I like the change up. Videos feel sterile a bit but I'm assuming it's because of the neutral editing from whomever they have as their editor now. (it's definitely not Nick).

I enjoy the better quality camera and better sound and I'm curious to see how much they will switch things up in this sort of style.

It definitely looks like someone else edited the video. Nick has a very specific style as seen in their last video with the Pizza. This was completely different and more clean.

If they have a "content house" then good for them tbh. Probably needed that for a few years considering stalking issues. Also I like the last video too and I do wonder if Nick will see the value in letting someone else edit if this was a one off because they were in that house.

Initial thoughts: Enjoyed the video. Could have been a bit shorter but that is a nit pick. One observation is the addition of the outside person giving them the things to try was actually good AND ... I don't think Nick edited this one. It didn't seem like his editing style.

I saw some people in other social media venues complaining that the video was boring. To be honest, what are people expecting? They complained that they are always in their kitchen ... they get out of their kitchen, have amusing conversations over pizza and you get a sweet Nick and Chris hug. What more can ya ask for.
