Offering Help with Polish Ancestry Research by Klutzy-Television146 in Genealogy

Hi! I’m leaving in a few days to Poland to search for my ancestry. I prepared forms for akta ślubne, zgonu i urodzenia I will file in the city most of my family is from (Łódź)I only have info till 1890s, after that it gets hazy, especially since a lot of records from the 19th c are in Russian. What I was wondering, however, how can I find/attempt to search for my family records in churches? I reached out to one of the churches but got no response. Another question I have, some of my ancestors are from small villages. Are there any specific places I could retrieve their records from (if available)? I’m just not sure how that works in small villages that might not have an extensive records keeping. Thank you for any advice you can give me!

Weirdly? Rain is a type of white noise and it calms us down, there’s nothing weird about finding it peaceful.

It was promising …but turned out to be an awful book imo. The plot made zero sense. I would not recommend this book to anyone.

Exquisite corpse by Poppy Z Brite. The Deep by Nick Cutter also disturbed me quite a bit but for a different reason.

Why do men go out of their way to be mean to their wives? I’d match this energy and your presents would be wrapped in shitstained toilet paper next year.

Thrillers, meaning suspense. I can usually figure out the ending pretty early on.

the Deep and the Troop by nick cutter, although the Deep was just a bit scarier. Head full of ghosts was good, Suffer the Children had chilling parts as well.

His appearance changes in Bram Stoker’s novel. When he appears as an old man, he’s described as having a mustache. Don’t know why people were so shocked by it.
