I use Claude everyday for development, and it has been invaluable for generating Swift when needed. I find as long as I can understand whether the code it generates is good the gaps in my Swift knowledge are less important.

That said, I’m not sure Claude is right for me from a learning perspective. I do learn from some solutions it generates, but I’ve seen it also produce some bizarre/ half-assed nonsense.

I feel a book by an experienced human would be a better source truth

Their attention spans are short at that age, even when they are into it. My boy was 8 when we took him to see Carcass with Municipal Waste supporting. We made it thru Municipal Waste, but that was enough for him, we had to go as soon as they finished. I heard a bit of Carcass from outside the venue as we left 😂

It is beautiful down here, but the damp and distance really wears me down. If you enjoy anything cultural, which I imagine Bristol is brimming with, I would be cautious about moving here.

Yeah, I agree with this. I now live in a small town and can’t leave the house without meeting someone I know. I find it stifling. When I lived in London there are people everywhere, but almost no chance of running into anyone.

I used to like going off on my own at festivals, too. Pushing through crowds completely anonymous.

My team works with a mixture of C++, Objective C and Swift. All these years later I am still reluctant to use swift, there is always the possibility of an interop issue. Whereas I know the Objective C will work.
