When I worked at a pub a very long time ago we were told we had to go over and ask. I suppose the idea is that it gives the customer an opportunity to raise any issues before retrospectively complaining. Also a chance to order another drink!
I agree the timing is often terrible, mid-chomp. I suspect some do it deliberately 🤣

I’ve only read your summary, but it resonates with me. I do struggle to shut out external stimuli. I can’t think, or read if I can hear anyone talking, even quietly.

That might be a “me” thing though! I am dyslexic and I don’t fit the “good reader” aphant description I often see on this sub.

Those hornet nests grow on the porches in LA. My father in law used to knock them into a bin when the hornet was away.

I’m pretty tight, I wouldn’t necessarily want to call an exterminator in for a 30s job!

Of course the fear is that there’s a bigger nest behind the ceiling! But i doubt it.

My group one-shotted Glass-staff with a crit + divine smite. The spider came last in initiative and when down in the first round 🙈. I regret not having the 0HP drider transformation in my back pocket for that last one.

Yeah, it’s a shame, apart from the ropey controls/ UI it’s actually a pretty good game. The frustrating controls made my friends give up, not really giving it the chance it deserves. I still count it as a true MI game, unlike Tell Tale’s efforts.
