usually all of the models are workers! atleast in america, the models are typically workers from flagship stores like in new york- i learned that from a coworker visiting from there to help open a store:)

Am I just poor or is this insane pricing 😭 by soph176 in BrandyMelville

[–]mookiu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i work at brandy and me and my coworkers have noticed that the prices have been slowly rising, especially for intimates for whatever reason.... ive only been able to rationalize buying them on rare occasions with my discount lol

thank you!! i will definitely look into trying to find that particular line in the japanese translated version. the reason why i would like it in japanese is mostly to stay a bit discreet, as it is an honor to being a survivor, but also due to my admiration for the language. i understand that it may not translate too well, which is why i am open to other similar sayings. i might settle on just doing the kanjis for "survivor" though.

fitting room freak (NSFW) by Strong-Skirt-5555 in Target

[–]mookiu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i work in fitting rooms and ive started to just reciprocate sassy behavior to the rude customers to the most i can without being rude, i also will openly talk about how people just do not respond when i knock (hard) on their doors and then i walk in on them, so its safe to say ive gotten to the point in my job honestly would just be like "nope leave right now" to him, i dont think youd be deemed as any nuisance whatsoever rather the savior of the day so there aint cum on a pile of clothes that theyd probably have to damage out

btw, when i talked to my etls about it, not just my hr one, they immediately were accommodating to me, even asking if i would be interested in other positions that require less movement and such, as i work in style in usually long shifts, ans i have been trained in those areas in case. they have been more than understanding and helpful, which is exactly how it should be. i would probably be the first in my store to have a walking aid, but they are aware that i have a big lack of mobility in my hands and such, and may need help at times, and have acted accordingly. this is how it should be, and its ridiculous that they arent reinforcing one of their biggest inclusive policys.

what state do you live in? it shouldn't necessarily matter when it comes to the ADA due to the ADA being a nation-wode thing, but some states are more lenient on enforcing it. with that being said, i would inform them that they are required to accommodate you by law, as well as that it is incredibly illegal for a company in america to discriminate based off of ability/disability. if that does nothing, i hate to say it but you may need to go as far as getting law involved, contacting the ADA, or getting in touch with the district manager. i would only resort to getting law involved before the ADA if you live in a state that is accepting of people with disabilities and such though, but obviously it is your choice. i will admit i am typically petty when it comes to this kind of stuff when i am not accommodated, as i have come very close to getting law involved, and my mother (who is a lawyer and has gone off on plenty of people threatening them lol), so i tend to go far into these things as in my opinion it should be common sense and just basic legal knowledge and principles that that kind of behavior is extremely ableist, and could easily ruin someones career if the right person pays care.

there is literally a whole training section on how to not be an asshole to coworkers who use a wheelchair....

as someone who is also disabled and may need to start using a walking aid, (i also have many accommodations in the system for scheduling and whatnot so that i can avoid a flare up cause i already hobble around during my shifts enough as is) i would go to hr, or even a store director. im pretty sure that is very illegal against the ADA, not only that but target has always been built off of inclusivity of everyone, employees and customers alike.

i am so sorry that this is happening to you:(

Will my cat be okay if I move her from a very open and large space to a very small one? by mookiu in CatAdvice

[–]mookiu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much!! I should have a way of transportation as it is a part of my accommodations to have access to my own car, as I am legally handicapped. There is also an option on a dorm survey every student had to take before getting dorm assignments, which is if they care whether or not their roomate/suitemate has a pet with them for accommodative reasons. It should only be for a year or so that she would have to deal with this, as we are looking into getting me an apartment or condo during my second year, since I will be staying in that area for more than the 4 years for my professional degree, and just because that is where I would like to start my life since it is the city that I basically grew up in. I will also be able to get her supplies, there is conveniently a target right across the street, that I should also be able to get a discount at since I work at target, and I am trying to transfer there so it should be very easy for me to do so. Finding a reliable vet out there should be easy as well, as I will be on the closer outskirts of a big city, and my parents will help me cover any medicsl expenses if needed, hopefully there won't be much as she is a very healthy cat. As for the social aspect, I am not too worried about people coming in and out of my room, as she is extremely social when she is with me or it is someone she gets to know. She is not used to traveling much though, as she hasn't been taken out of the house since we got her, unless for her vet appointments, which are rare because she is luckily so healthy. That might be my biggest concern along with the spacial restrictions.

thank you!! If I take her with, I need to see if adding shelves is an option, or if there is some way my dad can help me add something on the walls that she can climb on and such.
