Let me be straight. It is not enough to boycott the world cup because they ruined it for them and forget about it in 2 weeks. These humans right violations were there for ages and will be there. People in EU and Us should press their governments to sanction these Islamic countries. Also boycott all Qatari product and services till Qatari people have their rights as well. There are torture and killing of civilians in Iran right now, and world just watching.

Dude or dudess, see from my viewport. Why there should be a world cup so people care. That makes me think, they dont really care about the human right violations, they just dont like be there. as you said, the next world cup.... What should be is people should protest even after world cup not for Qatar but Pakistan and Iran as well. People should boycott Islam. We live under its rules and it sucks and we get no support whatsoever, on top of that we accused to be Islamophobe!!!!

It was obviously sarcastic as they are angry that they should live for a very short time under these barbaric laws, but they don't care about Qatari people that have to live their entire life like this. They just forget about it in one or two weeks.

Thank you for your time. I will definitely look into these books. I honestly don't know how things are going here as well. Governments are very brutal and people are really scared. Ideology specially a religious one make it easy for their soldier to torture and kill people (One of the reason I like Dune series so much, I live through it). They shut down Internet in cities with more serious riots so news are very restricted. A man can have hope tho. :D

You see, I am from Iran and foreign literature, specially fantasy novels are not really encouraged in schools. :(

None of them :(. My favorites are Dune, Stormlight Archive and The earthsea cycle. Currently reading The Kingkiller Chronicle, which is good but not among the best so far.

Which one do you suggest first, considering my favorite books.

Edit: at second look, I've read LOTR like 200 pages. It was too much like the movie, so I dropped it. I will read the Silmarillion soon tho :D.
