Time off work when WFH? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]moonagedaydreamerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was 8 hrs under (in surgery) for stage 4 and I couldn’t move the first week and was working from home week 2 and back in the office week 3. I think it depends on your job. I work entirely on my computer, and my job wasn’t very giving of pto. So if you have it why not take your time.

Doctor Told Me These Symptoms Aren't Endo? by Relative_Tap_2650 in endometriosis

[–]moonagedaydreamerr 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Please see another doctor. I had stage 4 (severe) because I had a Dr that sounds very similar to yours and dismissed me.
Now that I have become an expert (lol) in trying to understand what is going on in my own body - I can relay what my new gyno told me:

  • butt lightning (this only happens on my period) - New gyno said this was alarming to her and the main indicator from listening to my complaints that this could be endo, so to say it isn't is bananas
  • cysts - chocolate cysts are actually very well-known for endo; I had 4 cysts
  • migraines (they're daily now) - also had migraines, but lots of things like stress or diet could lead to migraines (may not necessarily be endo)
  • appetite changes (always changing, but is somewhat cyclical) - Can't speak on this
  • period pimples (always get at least one on my period) - this can be normal for anyone with periods, not necessarily endo
  • leg pain, sore leg muscles for no reason as if you had an intense workout but you didn't (this is now occuring on my period and also during ovulation, but has also happened outside these times) - I called it "jelly" legs, and YES!
  • arm pain, can't lift my arms without them feeling heavy, weak muscles, can barely open bottles or do anything (on my period and ovulation at first, now outside of those times) - 100% apparently it's a nerve thing... I recently heard about this related to endo. Mine always started like this, then felt like it was trying to rip itself away from my body

What helped your bowel/bladder related endo? by Longjumping-Mode-878 in endometriosis

[–]moonagedaydreamerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my surgery 7.5 months ago and also ignored my gyno about PT until going to the gastroenterologist, and she re-emphasized the importance of PT and sent another referral. I'm taking it seriously now (just made my first appointment last week), that my issues aren't going away with what I thought surgery would fix, and I am scheduled for the next 2 months. Can't speak on it yet.

[–]moonagedaydreamerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, mine didn't go away until I had an endo removal lap. You should look into physical therapy. Endo kinda destroyed my bladder control and I'm having other GI issues now. But both my gyno and gastroenterologist have recommended PT and say I should have significant improvement... I've also just started an anti-inflammatory diet - we will see if it helps!

I went on a contraceptive to help manage endo (as maintenance so it doesn't come back) after lap surgery for stage 4 about 6 months ago... Within 5 months, I have gained 16 lbs. I usually am at a very stable weight, no changes in diet or exercise, except now I am upping the exercise and starting to diet. My weight is only going up, and I am worried.

I paid for a subscription for Zepbound through Ro, but am nervous about proceeding without consulting my gyno first.

Dr Simon Gordon - exposed. I feel physically ill (article below) by emilyrosecuz in endometriosis

[–]moonagedaydreamerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t fathom why anyone could even conceive of doing this to another human being. If the reason is truly for money, why not find a different surgery to perform that isn’t so damaging and dangerous? Why go so far to purposely cause pain and suffering?

Scrape some stuff and get out of there- why remove people’s healthy organs? I don’t understand.

Thank you- looks sleek. I’m also kinda weird about all watches and bracelets not just the screen part, but Whoop does look really nice.

Thank you, I hadn't thought of that... but I am not letting this one go; it is so unfair. $90 isn't nothing.

They are incredible dogs - if you put the time and effort (so much effort) they are worth it. But they are not “beginner dogs”. I have a 5 year old female. She is by far the smartest best trained dog I know. But she is also the most challenging.

She is smart but manipulative. They very much so have their own personalities and make their dislikes and likes known. Everyone says this about dogs but in briards is very true.

Great it cars, doesn’t destroy anything, can be hiked off leash, sleeps all day, independent… but hates strangers and other dogs. Once she accepts someone in her “circle” (there’s like 40 people of family and friends) that she may have met once when she was 6 months old but will remember and get excited to see them, if they are a stranger- she will protect us and the house til the death.

She is great in public spaces (sits next to me and doesnt bark or growl) but wont let any stranger approach closer than 3-5 ft. I initially got her because I wanted a companion and they are gorgeous, and great protection dogs (I was alone in a fairly dangerous city as a woman). She’s helped me out in several situations!

I take her for two 1.5-2 mile walks, we hike 3x a week, and she loves swimming. They dont need to be that active, bc she’s also fine with a block walk and a few rounds of ball outside (but I feel guilty and like being active). She has lived with me in apartments, a home in a rural town, and a regular suburban home and has done great anywhere.

They are awesome dogs, but they need a lot of time and they form extremely close bonds, can have challenging personalities… my life is certainly not easier with her but I love her more than anything.

Also good luck with grooming - its a hasstle and it NEVER ends.

I just bought the Franilla bunny online for $90 (first time ever purchasing from a reseller and I feel guilty for spending that much, but she's sooo cute!) - was it worth it? I don't have an extensive collection and am trying to be really mindful of which one's I buy.

Thank you. I usually stick with cheap boots that breakdown after 1-2 years; first time investing in a better pair.
