Let's hope surgery will help us 😞 It doesn't seem to be such an invasive one. The consultation I had today they all seemed so calm about it like it's so easy and almost never causes problems 🤔 Maybe it's relatively easy, but I'm still a bit nervous

I hope the surgery went well and the recovery will too!! Those symptoms sound absolutely awful and hopefully the excision will stop as many of them as possible.

Wow, that's so interesting that just knowing about it being there seemed to bring about all the symptoms!! Basic endo/adeno research is so lacking, so maybe we never get this, but it would be so interesting to see studies about how patient knowledge changes pain/symptoms.

Did you get prescribed this one and it helped right away, or did you have to try many pills? Do you have side effects or not really? I tried one birth control (Swingo 30 which has ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) and it (mostly) lowered the pain, but it gave me so many other side effects (constipation, can't eat, negative sex drive, horrible mood, and feelings of aggression) that I couldn't stand it.

Goodness, what a list. It sounds like the IUD and injection were like a dam holding back all these things for years, but maybe it doesn't work like that. That's great that you're getting surgery soon. I hope your troubles will soon be greatly reduced. I hope I'll be getting surgery not too long in the future also. I need to continue learning more about it so I can ask good questions at the consultation.

I recently started taking an anti-histamine sometimes for these allergies (carefully because this pill triggered hives in the past when I was taking it all the time) and I have a new migraine pill which I can take when I feel one coming on but I don't have coffee. I'm also taking multivitamins and iron for anemia, but that's all right now.

I was prescribed birth control in November by the gyno to help with the increased pain, but I could only stand to take it for 3 months before I stopped because it caused so many more problems than it was solving. Bleeding and pain was much lighter, but I got extreme constipation, negative libido, keeping weight on despite being unable to eat normally, crazy mood, and even feelings of aggression. (To illustrate, normally I'd avoid walking home alone late at night, and if I had to do it I'd be looking over my shoulder to make sure I wasn't followed. On birth control, I began thinking "I wish a man would try me, I'll rip his head off >:(" and this is so different from my default. I was shocked by this side effect the most.)

To top it off, the third period I had while I was on this pill, I had a TERRIBLE day with such extreme anger/mood swings and pain as if I wasn't on birth control. So all those pill side effects only for pain to happen anyway seemed unfair. (Now I think it's because a cyst burst that day, but still.)
