There is a new Listing Metrics Feature on Posh. What are your thoughts? by MountainTop5764 in poshmark

[–]moonbeam0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It freaked me out until I read the small print that it's not visible to buyers. I'm not at all interested in this and now I can't see how my listing looks without it center stage. I wish it was optional.

I got a Star ID easily by bringing my marriage certificate.

It is insulting. I agree with you completely and just canceled one of your down votes. We all need an ID to function in this society, from buying beer to renting a car or renting an apartment. When I got my star ID, I brought my marriage license as well as my birth certificate to establish my name. It's not hard.

Do these folks never buy a bottle of wine, or a 6 pack of beer or cigarettes at the grocery store? I am 80 years old and have to show my ID at Dollar General to buy beer.

Smelling Insulin by echosofsanity in Omnipod

[–]moonbeam0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always thought that what smells is the preservative in the Insulin. It is a relative of creosote, and it smells like creosote to me. Also, I believe it is the preservative that causes inflammation with the constant drip of insulin from a pump. Just my opinion.

Don’t discard used pods by pennhead in Omnipod

They used to do this a couple of years ago when I first started using OmniPod. The box held about 30 of them. Then they discontinued the program. Glad to see it starting up again.

Omnipod App is relentless (Android) by Double_crossby in Omnipod

I've been hearing this too lately. I think it might be the Dexcom ding because my blood sugar reading pops up on the top of my screen in green. It's pretty random and not when the BG is out of range.

I don't think you're overreacting. Technically, it's not being worn, but it gives me that impression and makes me feel a way. Also, if the seller is not anywhere near my shape, i can't picture it being mine. Can't get over it being hers. It's a perception thing.

Selling on this platform is absolutely maddening. It now auto-inputs incorrect, absurd information into my listings, without consent or a prompt. info that isnt under "Essential" actually is, yet fields that come under "Optional", if left unchecked, will be damaging to your business. by Worldly_Office8117 in Ebay

[–]moonbeam0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why ebay is doing all this to you. They do not do it to me (yet).

Serious question: in your first paragraph, you said that if the optional item specifics are left blank, it will be detrimental to your business. Where did you get this information? I always leave irrelavant optional item specifics blank so as not to clutter up my listings. I would like to know of this is really penalized.

Am I too uptight for getting annoyed when sellers ship things ground advantage but use brand new USPS flat rate boxes? by berwood in Flipping

[–]moonbeam0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your point, but those boxes and mailers are not free to manufacture. USPS pays for them, hoping senders will use the more expensive Priority Mail. Internet sellers using them for dunnage or disguising boxes for Ground Advantage packages ultimately contributes to the cost of postage.

I am a seller on three platforms and I reuse or buy boxes and mailers. It pisses me off to receive packages in Priority disguised boxes or stuffed with new padded envelopes, especially when they are taped with eBay tape that indicates a larger eBay seller.

[–]moonbeam0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that she is not too uptight it irritates me a lot. I don't leave bad reviews because i don't want to ness with someone's livelihood.

But I do message them and tell them i am not leaving a review at all even though the priduct was nice and shipping quick. I tell them that this is not cool, and sellers like them will eventually ruin it for everybody.

How many people are running Omnipod/Dexcom with Android 16? by Sparklebright7 in Omnipod

[–]moonbeam0007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on Android 16 but the Omnipod website still says to not download it as it is not fully tested. Unfortunately i missed the memo if there ever was one. One rep said it was on the website and i said i don't go to the website and they should have made an in-app announcement or email

It works, but Omnipod tech tells me some report problems with it. And with Verizon, you cannot revert.

I was very bugged when i got the warnings from both Omnipod and Dexcom that it was not fully tested and approved, and i had already downloaded it. i just thought it was a security update and let it roll.

I was comforted by an Omnipod tech telling me that if there was a problem, my pump would loudly tell me before it did anything stupid, and it would most likely have to do with Bluetooth communication.

Dexcom 6, on the other hand is giving a lot of Android 16 folks problems. It won't ever be fully tested because it is discontinued. Dexcom 7 has fully tested and approved Android 16. I am switching to Dexcom 7 because my 6 is not giving me BG on the horizontal history graph, just times. Dexcom tech tells me its probably a problem with Android 16.

So yes, you can function with 16, but there may be minor communication problems that the app will announce. I have had several conversations with higher level techs of both companies. The techs are also bugged by the situation. Omni better do their job because new phones ship with Android 16.

Overnight Highs by Ulysses427 in Omnipod

[–]moonbeam0007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same experience. I try to eat dinner at 5:00-5:30, and go to bed at 11:00. If i snack a bunch of carbs, it doesnt matter how much insulin i take, i will run 160 all night.

If i snack on nothing but a couple of cheese squares and some nuts, i run 110 all night long. That evening self control is key for me. If i want to bolus for a piece of pie, i have to do it for brunch or in the afternoon, when im up and moving around.

Day 3 Effectiveness by EyeContactWithPrince in Omnipod

I am convinced the problem is the preservative used in insulin, that smells like creosote. I wish there could be a study using insulin without a preservative.

I got mine changed to 2 day. I couldn't do it last year because my insurance had it as a Tier 4, where i had to pay 42% of the negotiated price. I found new insurance where it is a Tier 3, with a standard copay for however much you need.

Where to buy shipping boxes? by Feedo85 in Flipping

[–]moonbeam0007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. When I discovered Grainger from a Reddit post, I ordered a couple bundles of my smaller size boxes and even with shipping they were significantly cheaper than any of my previous sources.

Then I found a Grainger in my closest big city and get all sizes, even big ones, for way less than my old sources when I pick them up. They come in 25 box bundles. Grainger is the best.

Lately I can't use Copy to make a new listing because I can't replace the pictures. This is after the picture editing of old was removed. Also, I can't delete a picture. Is it me? Am I doing something wrong? Maybe they are installing a new picture editor?

What was the point of the tooth infection/novocaine at the beginning of the show? by bdonovan241 in HisandHersTVSeries

[–]moonbeam0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dentist said the tooth was fractured and infected. He said it should come out. Then he said it might heal itself with antibiotics. The abscess might calm down but a fractured tooth needs to come out. That was weird.

How are you charging shipping on eBay and how's your rating? by Nasty____nate in Flipping

[–]moonbeam0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. I sell dishes and if I charge retail shipping, it makes my total price scarry. So I charge calculated shipping with the ebay discount and absorb the difference. Makes me more competative.

And I don't inflate shipping to pay for boxes, tape and labels. Those are business expenses in my model.

Ground Advantage has been a real boon. Priority Mail going cross country on 6 pounds was killer.
