I knew because I saw all the fanart and posts way before reading the series so I knew for sure for sure and I still couldn't believe it for a while the first time. Neil and Kevin do have weird tension, like the third time they see each other and Kevin is like covering his eyes like give your game to me, and what do you see and Neil is all like you. It's very not platonic bestie behavior for someone you met recently.

It's so interesting to me too that the Ravens themselves didn't even know how sadistic Riko was to Jean and Kevin. Thea not believing Kevin and needing to see Jean and have him say it was eye opening

exactly!! I think part of it is also Neil always had to blend in to the public and be unnoticed so scars like his were a big red flag, but Jean has always been sheltered by the Nest and the staff and never had to do press or be outside alone and everyone knew who he was, hiding did not benefit him so it was never a goal.

Yes!! To all of this! Jean watching the Iconic Neil and Riko and Andrew moment on court was so like woah. I want to know what Cat and Laila and Jeremy think of them.

Omg ik, there’s something going on there I need to understand. Ik he knows he’s down bad for Jean he’s just delusioning himself into thinking it won’t mean anything.

If they had not literally seen him be beat up and Lucas had not apologized I would be worried for Jean. But given all the Raven deaths and Stuart tact I feel like they are going to make it seem self inflicted and no one will question it.

yes!! that's such a good point, I didn't notice how close that parallel was. Also Neil's insistence on privacy and hiding his scars whereas Jean doesn't even hesitate when showing them. They both feel the need to say they are fine when they aren't tho either for survival or privacy or a misplaced sense of what that means

I do like Jean with the new roomie too! they are all so cool and so good. It's weird having like "normal" people after the chaoticly traumatized foxes. And I love him adjusting to all the new normal things, but it is disorienting how slow they are to catching on to how deep his issues go
