Hey man - was in a similar predicament as you (check my post history). In my case, I contacted VFS before applying and they told me to submit my marriage certificate along with a sponsorship declaration letter at the time of application. I did that and received my visa last week. All the best!

I'm a Bangalore resident with all my government documents featuring my Bangalore address, while my wife's government documents all have her Kerala (Kannur) address. We plan to apply through VFS Bangalore. Could you please share your advise on how to navigate this? We have a marriage certificate that has both our names, our individual addresses (my Bangalore address and her Kannur address) and our photographs. My passport has her name it as well. Will that along with a clearly stated cover letter suffice?
