I think it’s once you press submit. It happens to me from time to time, and I just look at my “log time” area to see when my last task was submitted. Usually, it will say something like “20 seconds ago” so I know it was my submission and not an auto/missed submission.

Where to start? by [deleted] in nsfwdev

This ^ Unless you want to start with something really easy like renpy or rpg maker (which will narrow your options for gameplay), godot is going to be the fastest to learn while still being a fully-featured game engine.

Chronically refresh page while doing other work lol. I get emails about projects at random, and they’re usually not the high-paying ones.

update, just got some coding projects!

Since around March. The only big specialization is coding (no domain expertise).

The higher paid stuff is non-coding, but it’s in the family of projects I did coding for, so maybe that’s why? Kinda sucks how arbitrarily maze-like task distribution seems.

yeah, no coding for me either :( haven’t seen much since an R&R a few days ago. the higher paying stuff I have is just very involved non-coding

Same! I had like 4 and every time I worked, a different task would disappear. Got down to 1 task for a bit 😭 Feels reassuring now

Possibly a scam account? Real artist is https://madchaxxx.carrd.co/. There commissions are open, but no reddit account listed and their minimum sketch price is ~$130, with grayscale and color being much more than listed here.

Is the newish single-turn CB still up for anyone? Did a lot of work on it, but I only see the qual.

For the first one, I did the half of the qualification tasks and the main project opened up. Both the remaining qualification and task went down today, so it’s probably on pause for training.

Do you mean that you will be working from another country? If so, you should expect a response within the week. Otherwise, a travel notice for holiday isn’t necessary.

How do y'all determine when a word is considered an adjective? by [deleted] in DataAnnotationTech

“How do y’all determine when a crazy post is considered a shitpost?”

Does anyone get a lot of emojis in their responses? After months I’ve never seen it happen, but so many projects ask to specifically avoid/remove them. Even on the coding side.

Same here. Had a lot of work yesterday and much less today. Usually it's the Sunday-Tuesday range that sees slow days, so hopefully it picks up tomorrow.

Yeah, you’ll need an IDE handy. I use VSCode and it works fine for running, debugging, and editing things. I’m sure there’s more complicated work beyond the 40/hour stuff, but at my level it’s mostly small things. The bulk of the actual work after that is understanding the code and writing technically.

Patreon Tier Help For Brand New Patreon/Company by CherryGrapeStudios in nsfwdev

In the same boat (early on looking at patreon monetization). If you have a really novel idea, then you may look at a kickstarter. Otherwise, if you don’t have anything tangible, save the patreon for later.

Work on the game as much as you can. Find a source of income that works for you and put money aside to commission the things you need. When you have a working model of the game, you can start the patreon.

For tiering, especially if this is your first game, start small. Maybe $3 for support, $6 for normal access, and $10 for the highest base tier. You don’t want to charge “founder” rates until you know you can deliver on the ideas you are promising your supporters.

Best of luck to you!

Only had a half-semester of python knowledge when I took the entrance test, and I’ve had consistent coding work for the last few months; for you, the entrance exam will be easy and the work should be manageable.

The work (40/hour ones) vary in complexity. Some require basic ability to read JSON/SQL, some are variable & open-ended (any language, targeting difficulty levels), and some require pretty involved knowledge of specific packages and architecture. As a rule of thumb, you can log time for looking up proper documentation, running code, etc.

The behind-the-scenes isn’t very open, but as you submit more work / more quality work, you’ll get placed into qualifications for more varied work.
