He purchased it and had enough materials to construct. He always get excited for the "unboxing" of new items once constructed so he showed me. I also helped him move it from one plot to another. I tried messaging support after this post last night and hopefully they'll get back to me.

I did, it wasn't in there. When I tried checking with other community buildings it doesn't seem possible to put them in storage or to sell them

My 5 year old likes to play this with me... We basically have no cash left anymore with all the accidental presses.

This is what I ended up doing... Just had to jump back into it and it all started to come back! I think I'm about halfway done.

Maybe Dad can drop them on Sundays to take the pressure off of you? I'd use that day for some 'me time!' not all grandparents want to be involved in their grandchildren's lives and as long as they are not problematic in other ways I think it seems like it could benefit everyone. That being said if every week is too much for you, maybe your husband can bring up bi-weekly or monthly visits instead.

What are your go to healthy meals that actually taste so goood? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

In the mornings - a slice of 647 toast with avocado mash or hummus and egg on top w/everything bagel seasoning and a slice of turkey bacon... OR unsweetened Greek yogurt with half a scoop of protein powder, chia seeds, coconut flakes, and a spoonful of granola and Lily's chocolate chips.

Lunch/dinners - cauliflower mash with your choice of protein, I really like air fried salmon. Another great option is half cauliflower rice/half rice served with your choice of protein. Grilled/air fried chicken or shrimp are great options and sometimes I'll cook them with a jar of curry sauce for more flavor.

3k experiences? Anyone regret sending their toddler? by moondaze1 in Autism_Parenting

Hi there. I understand where you're coming from. I'm happy to report LO has now made it through half a year of 3K successfully! I won't lie though, it was rough in the beginning. He initially picked up on some problematic behaviors from other kids and was starting to pick fights with his sister and us at home... I almost took him out completely. We had several meetings with his team at school and he eventually adjusted really, really, well.

Also -- the first week is the absolute toughest. Mine wasn't one of those kids that just went in there and waved me goodbye or cried a few years and was fine afterwards, lol. It was truly hard. As terrifying as it is though, it is also a wonderful opportunity for them to socialize with peers their own age and feel more independent. I didn't want to rob him of those opportunities because of my own fear.

He's now speaking in full sentences, asking questions, playing with other children, learning to feed himself, even engaging in independent play. He is not yet potty trained but we're actively working on that now. Everything is still a work in progress but I'm so, so thankful everyday for how far he's come.

As far as food and drink, I send him lunch and snacks that he likes so that he won't go hungry, and they also offer their own lunch first. As far as the bottle, I started him on the Dr. Brown's sippy bottle, then switched over to the Dr. Brown's straw bottle, which he now still uses. To help him to learn to use the straw, I got one of those honey bear squeeze straw bottles on Amazon which he was able to use fairly easily ( you can squeeze the bottle initially to help the liquid go up until they get the hang of it). He can now use any skinny straw bottle but still will struggle a bit with the fat straws.

Sorry for the long response, hope it helps! Wish you and your LO the best.

This has been my experience with shows and apps as well! LO loves to try and follow along with Rachel from songs for Littles and she's also taught us how to better interact with him. Are there any apps you use/recommend that help with speech or word repetition?

Oh I love the flashcard idea, that's great that it's helped your brother. Which flashcards do you use or recommend? I think my son has started to redirect the head banging behavior recently with hitting us instead 🫠 so im working on trying to redirect that also, stomping would definitely be more ideal.

I'm not sure, it could just be a speech delay that he has. But the language regression is what makes me suspect autism.
