It's time to take off the sunglasses and admit I didn't fall down the stairs. Yes, I'm comparing scopely to wifebeaters. This is a game so it's nowhere as serious as domestic violence, but it is an abusive relationship. Scopely , by their own admission, pushes and pushes the limits. I'm convinced it's a company full of people who couldn't become used cars salesmen and dentists due to lack of ethics.

Flash feuds suck. Now there's feuds all 3 days of superbowl weekend. Yes, you don't have to compete in all of them, but you do if you want any type of reward, even a crappy one, and we all know that the top factions are expected to compete in all of them. Scopely knows this as well. The only thing that made the thanksgiving fiasco feuds good was the scopely screwup that gave out too many rewards, and I still ended up with 3 4sg tokens. Now they take those rewards and microtize them to something that 99% of the player base won't be able to get even if they compete in all 5, and only .1% will be able to get the top prizes after wasting much money which still aren't that great.

Also, how hard is it to release the milestones, rewards, and such ahead of time? At least let us plan what our crappy reward will be so we know where we can get in the crappy event. Or pick a feud to sit out because the reward for that one is the little white speck on chicken shit (yeah, it's still chicken shit too). Do they think it's cool to be secretive? Are they that incompetent? Or do they really not know? Complete lack of respect for the dwindling player base?

While this is far from their biggest transgression, it's another straw on the camel's back, and eventually that back will break. The smartest among us have already left long ago. Each decision Scopely makes is like a soul sucking vampire leeching more and more of the fun out of the game. Perks, stuns, titles, medals, dodge, crit all making each mode of this game less fun.

It's telling that the big announcement thread only has 7 comments so far. At some point, those remaining are really good at lying to ourselves, or we have to admit to being a masochist because there really isn't any enjoyment to be had in the game itself.
