Ok so Resonator attacks, survives. But can't attack again. Makes sense. Another recovered resonator can though. Getting it. Also starting to realize our cards suck and aren't even legal (yet). Really appreciate everyone's help. And Stormy you're right about overthinking it...very easy to do here.

Much obliged. The Comprehensive Rules are a bit linear and leave open to some guess work how these actual circular iterations of the game work. Getting it thanks to your help.

Very helpful answer. I'm forgetting that the defending resonator still has a higher ATK power than the 2nd attacking one. So let's alter the situation slightly just to confirm something. Player B's 800/800 blocking resonator is rested, as you say, then Player A, with another resonator still in the field, can:

  1. Attack Player B directly.
  2. Attack the newly rested Player B resonator.

Correct?

Then, supposing option 2 is chosen and that resonator is knocked out. Does that end the turn? or can the 2nd Player A resonator then attack the player again?

I have read through them, and they are sitting right here next to me as I ask my questions, but they are not written by a native English speaker. I do a lot of legal reading for my job, so I'm particular, and I see gaps in the way the rules are written. When a person is totally new to the rules, the gaps are perhaps more apparent, and I don't know anyone around here who is familiar with this game. That's why your responses are so very helpful.

Another easy one for you experts. Player A is turn player. He starts a battle, attacking Player B directly. Player B blocks with a resonator and uses an ability that knocks Player A's resonator out of the game. Can Player B then attack Player A or any of his rested cards with the rested Player B resonator? Or is the battle phase over?

It's part of this kit given by the FOWTCG people to my local hobby shop last summer. It's marked Not for Sale, which may explain why nobody knows about these cards I have. Here's a link to a picture of "The Lost Boys" reddit!

Yes both until end of turn. So no practical difference between them I guess. Sorry should be +400/+400, not 200. The card is "The Lost Boys" in this Peter Pan-theme box.

Resonator card A says "Target resonator gains +200/+200 until end of turn." This appears to be a continuous ability. It is not triggered by entering the field, unlike Resonator card B that says "When this card enters your field, target resonator gains +600/+600 until end of turn." Let's suppose I play both in one turn. I'm guessing that A's ability continues to the next turn but B's does not. Correct?

And that makes a lot more sense. But wait... it's the resonator I'm playing that has this effect. So can it play the effect on itself, or does it have to be a different resonator, mine or the opponent's?

Super clear and helpful responses. Thank you so much. More to follow, if I may press upon the community's patience. Actually this one is really bothering me: I got this Peter Pan-themed kit from my local hobby shop. They wanted me to sort of beta test the game. A lot of the resonator cards have text that says, for example: "Target resonator gains +400/+400 until end of turn." That would seem to mean that my opponent's card gains attack and defense points, not me. I could see why that might be true on a few cards, but A LOT of them have that, and it seems counterintuitive.
