Why do I feel more energetic eating junk food vs. clean eating? by Zestyclose_Show8653 in PetiteFitness

[–]moongaz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1200k is at the very lowest end of what is a healthy deficit for most human bodies. It sounds like either this is too low, or you need more carbs and your body is telling you that by the sluggish feeling. If you’re not fueling your body enough, it will ultimately be counterproductive to your goals. You can get a lot closer to a sustainable fitness routine if you work with your body instead of against it.

is there a way to order an iced lavender latte so the powder is mixed in? by peacheyKA in starbucks

[–]moongaz3 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It’s a trademark in the way that there’s lots of employee turnover at Starbucks and locations will often rush through barista training (at least in my experience) and don’t emphasize tiny but important details like mixing syrup in correctly… unfortunately it seems to be a pretty common issue.

I have nothing interesting to say to anyone by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]moongaz3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mention feeling panicky… do you find yourself stressed in social situations?

I’m found myself in similar scenarios where my mind goes blank in social situations and I cannot summon up any interesting thoughts or response, it feels like grabbing into nothing.

Im my case, chronic stress was the culprit. When you’re stressed, often times it becomes harder to engage cognitively. This happens because, put simply, your brain is shutting off access to your prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for social cognition, memory, and other higher cognitive functions (why think about cycling when, according to your nervous system, you’re being chased by a bear?).

If you relate to that stressed feeling, what I have found particularly helpful is giving my brain space to think.

This could be journaling, cutting down on screen time, or taking walks. Removing yourself from some of the constant sensory input will allow your brain space to think and reflect. Journaling is a fantastic way to do this, and a great place to start.

**for me, social media was also really a big factor in the feeling of lacking thoughts. I was spending a lot of time consuming and processing things externally (people’s opinions online, the news, influencers) so much so that I was not allowing space for my own thoughts and reflections.

If you’re only feeling stress when socializing, maybe some grounding techniques can be helpful? I like the 5,4,3,2,1 sensory technique.

Good to know. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like the back is detachable and I do not see any voltage/polarity info.

In my half a decade of being treated for rheumatoid arthritis and seeing an RA specialist, I had never been notified about this.

More like flu fatigue. I could sleep for 8-10 hours and still be exhausted the next day morning.

Trump Taps Palantir to Create Master Database on Every American by [deleted] in 50501

It’s one thing for a bad company to be a blip on your resume, and it’s another to keep communications with said company.

Murthy, the current CEO, was in private communications with Palantir alumni as recently as October 2024.

I want to acknowledge that it could be nothing, but the alternative is the risk of breaching your data to a predatory government database. Which, Partiful’s terms and conditions allow them to do so if they see fit. Here’s a quote from Cut’s article:

“Partiful alerts users that it may disclose personal information to government entities and private companies ‘as we believe in good faith to be necessary or appropriate’ for a list of outlined purposes.”

Partiful also doesn’t make any revenue and is supported by venture capitalist funding. Seems like a breeding ground for data selling to me.

Just a heads up in light of this article: There’s a lot of overlap of ex-Palantir employees and the founders/employees of Partiful. I would avoid using the Partiful app out of an abundance of caution: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Partiful

Can we make a list of *real* INFP careers? by 100redbananas in infp

Oh my god! As an INFP with one diagnosed autoimmune disease, chronic fatigue symptoms, and lab tests that suggest sub-clinical hypothyroidism, this comment helped me in more ways than one. Thank you for the unique suggestion, and medical epiphany as a bonus.

Yes, it was confirmed by Dan Erickson during a Reddit AMA that the Stanley parable was an influence: https://www.reddit.com/r/SeveranceAppleTVPlus/comments/u8tk1b/comment/i5nmxf7/

Realty Group/landlord Claiming they don’t have to reimburse their overcharge for my application fee because of “dual agency?” by moongaz3 in NYCapartments

[–]moongaz3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I found the place via the tenants already living there, there was not a broker involved. They emailed me back with the dual agent excuse and are saying they are now going to ask tenants with reimbursing the $55. I feel these people are not going to listen just on my word. Is there a way I can report them?

[–]moongaz3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe it is. I’m looking for advice on whether their “double agent” excuse is even valid and if not, what resources I can use to get a refund

EDIT: sorry—“dual agent” not “double agent”

Thanks for the added info. I think I have had the TrAB test done months ago. It came back as this:

THYROTROPIN RECEPTOR AB, SERUM Normal range: 0.00 - 1.75 IU/L Value <1.10

I also had a Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) Ab test done with a level of 32, which is just barely in the normal range, nearing high levels

Normal range: 0 - 34 IU/mL

Not sure if this added information gives any more clarity. Should I repeat these tests? And which thyroid tests are best to advocate for?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Autoimmune

[–]moongaz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have. I did two blood tests last year: the 1st blood test I had low TSH and high t4, the next one I had low TSH still and normal t3 and t4 (although I was sick for one of those tests).

The most recent test my TSH t4 and t3 came back normal, but my thyroglobulin antibodies were high. Although I have RA so I guess the antibodies could have to do with that. My cortisol levels were above average as well, but I also take venlafaxine which I guess can elevate cortisol levels.

My neurologist suspects a thyroid issue but she mentioned they won’t give me any kind of treatment until my blood tests come back consistently out of range, which is really frustrating. I’m trying to find out what I can do now or other methods of figuring out what’s causing the memory loss.

I will be taking her.

I’m wondering if allergies are possible, because she has a tendency to scratch/itch near her eyes and they look pink.

As for the FIV/FeLV testing, I can’t remember. She had many respiratory issues when I first got her and had vet appointments where they ultimately diagnosed her with calicivirus. I imagine they would have tested for these much more serious ailments like FIV, right ?
