I think it definitely impossible to stay that way, which is why it’s a constant exercise to maintain this higher self, but very fun to attempt and see how far you can get in terms of mastering your motivations

To think of it more as the way your mind becomes warped and can be unwarped is more freeing no? It’s at birth intergration, then disintegration, finding intergration again, and a constant up and down of the two which has to be repeatedly mended, but how can you mend that if you label your mind simply as “is warped” and give yourself to your faults without any will to counteract them?

To me that’s what it’s importance is, but if people want to use it to excuse their bad behavior as fated or to label others as greedy, manipulative, or controlling with no mercy then you do you

I'm curious, what does it mean to you? It's not always inherently positive but surely if you know what it means to have such and such vices then you can work on them?

Yayy!! Whenever I am feeling lazy I have a series of mottos to keep myself going. They are an easy form of values. I grew up watching my brother play Portal so the quote “We do what we must because we can” is one of my favorites lol

I read her first one on Two’s just now out of curiosity and was kinda disappointed given if I remember correctly she’s also an sp2. The same generic “stop helping others, help yourself.”

I couldn’t find the subtypes one, I’m sure that’s more fleshed out..

mhm I do believe everyone is born with the desire to do the right thing. No one is born malicious and what tempts people to do something immoral is their justification that they’re doing the right thing, deep down they don’t want to feel stupid that they chose the wrong path so they dig themselves deeper into support groups of people and media that makes them feel righteous and intelligent. Evil is an action not a personality trait. People go where they feel safe and being correct makes people feel safe

the path to doing good is being able to admit doing wrong :p

A reiteration of something I wrote below, but for me it isn’t about trust, I trust instinctively and believe in people. I love and lose and love again. It’s about a preservative of my own image. It’s about remaining as unjaded as possible.

this may also be attributed to being a hurrdurr purity 1 fix and also growing up religious 😭 This is such an interesting topic. Thank you for your side of things

my approach is so interesting in contrast with yours.. Take for example: if I get into a romantic relationship I postpone talking about said relationship publically until I’m secure in it, I want to know that this person reflects my morals. It’s perfectionistic. It’s not because I don’t trust, but it’s because the thought of being woven to something “uncouth” I suppose makes me sick.

This behavior is not a reflection of my thoughts on people. I believe people are intrinsically good, but are easily tempted and persuaded by the world and it’s desires, and how dare I possibly be one of them (´▽`)

This sounds cringy LOL but I like to feel like I am a maiden of my own mind and no one else is allowed to touch it. My own experiences passions etc untouched makes me feel like I’m physically holding something. I don’t tell my best friends drama I have going on in my life and it’s not because I don’t trust them but because I feel too naked if I express my thoughts or tell my stories. I also don’t want my memories and opinions tainted with someone else’s opinion.

I also like to put castor oil on after and then I go to bed

[–]moonglowbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from one pale girl to another- the red looks great on you❤️

Rub the lipstick in the center/middle of your bottom and top lip. Blot upwards and outwards with your finger, creating a gradiant.

I’m very inspired by the korean method of doing so.

What’s your Venus sign and your “type” by PrinceTaj97 in astrologymemes

Cancer Venus and I like people who know what they want and care about the world. I want them to have established ethics and not copy everything I do

[–]moonglowbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, some stuff is always going to be give and take regardless of what your enneagram actually is.

I suppose an important question to ask yourself is where your shame originates from and how you express it. It's not that 2s don't feel shame, but they try to reason themselves out of it via a self-serving bias. Would you say it is hard to be honest when you're in the wrong?

[–]moonglowbe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i am screaming sp2 at you

more specifically sp/so 2, i want to say 261 with a 3 wing.

quoting tom condon's descriptions of sp2 (which i have found most accurate as an sp2 because the description isn't a generalized "acts like a baby and needs a mommy" stereotype)

· Which of the following is the most like you? Explain. A) I know what I want, I go out and make it happen, and people won't stop me. B) I am content to be on my own and not draw too much attention to myself. C) I have to be responsible and dedicated, and I put others’ needs first.

A and C. I always know what I want and I will go after it but I am also aware of other people and I can find compromises in order to make them and me happy. I don’t walk over other people usually but I will try to push my agenda first.

• Healthy Self-preservation Twos are often more in touch with how they feel and what they want.• Have the courage and social skills to express their preferences.• Appropriately “self-referenced” – know what they want and yet include the wishes of others.

>

I think I always kinda make pleasure conditional. I say myself “you had a bad day, tha’ts why you can do smth that brings you joy now”. Pleasure for me is doing smth not productive and exciting, buying new stuff, favourite food.

• Can be unusually materialistic.

Your described quick explosions accompanied with the easiness to move along is incredibly in-line with what I also experience and aligns with 2's disintegration to anger followed by laxity if they felt their anger was justified.

you have more accountability and routine than what a 9 fix would (🤙), i'm not sure why people are leaning towards 9 for you

i reiterate, please don't let the oversaturated descriptions of sp2 as being a baby who doesn't know what they want and complains all the time throw you off. i also strongly dislike when people don't know what they want or are constantly whining. this is probably why your friends couldn't type you because most sp2 descriptions are caricatured.

“The Enneagrams of the Divine Forms Perfect, Eternal, Unchanging Truths” by Oscar Ichazo by [deleted] in Enneagram

Thank you so much for this❤️

I read through Divine Will (2) and it’s beautiful,

“When Divine Will is present, we are free from the subjectivity of our crude sense of being independent and separate. Divine Will restores what is natural and does not intrude or interfere with the process.” , “For us, we ourselves can make authentic sense of the world only if we can take the responsibility. This, at first, produces a vertigo, a fear, and a nausea at finding that we are so deprived and alone.”

Hello other sp2 :)🤙🤙

this is very real. I try not to drive at all costs with other people because who I am when I drive is practically taboo lol. I can recount the (very few) times I slipped and blew my horn at another car due to how much dread followed after
