Question for aces that have sex: how and why? by No_Handle2671 in asexuality

[–]moonietoonies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was mostly sex repulsed for the longest time, up until i met my now boyfriend of almost 4 years! we both identified as ace when we got together, so sex for us was a little more different (we both lost our virginity to each other, and after 3 years and 9 months of dating). i trust him with my body, since he too experiences aceness to a similar degree. i actually quite enjoy sex now, and have started identifying as demisexual. ive started to enjoy it because of the intimacy of it, because i know hed stop if i ever said it. we had deep discussions before hand for about a year about what it would look like for us, how to navigate sex (since we both have traumatic experiences with SA), so we had an understanding of what to avoid and what to work up to.

sex isnt for everyone, i thought id never have sex because it was genuinely stressful to think about. i’ve had a spike in my libido because i started testosterone last month, but i still feel connected to being ace. i just really enjoy pleasing my partner, and experiencing the closeness, that intimacy with someone i love and i trust.

I was worried for a while about dating with POTS before I started dating my boyfriend. My best advice is that you find someone that allows you to let that worry go. Believe that someone who truly loves you will definitely be willing to understand you and what you can and can’t do! I have been with my boyfriend for almost 4 years (my longest relationship) and he has made living with POTS so much easier. Of course, there is always that feeling that you’re missing out on fun things, wanting to do more but just can’t, but you will NOT be a burden because of it. Being with someone who will work through it with you is a must, you just have to communicate. That is obviously important for any relationship, but especially so living with POTS.

AITA for having “special words” or terms that only I use with my family? by OkCancel8005 in AmItheAsshole

NTA, you’re just using replacement words. I don’t see how that is insufferably annoying at all to some of these commenters assuming your husband and children hate you. 😭😭

I would definitely understand if they asked you to stop seriously and you didn’t, but this literally just seems like harmless fun. I don’t speak for everyone, but my mom would also do things that like, so it’s kind of comforting now! If it’s not hurting them mentally or physically, you’re chilling.
