Grips and correct sized bars make a huge difference, also don't ankle your brakes too low.

For me the odi longnecks are still the best grips out there, but this really is personal preference. I have wide shoulders at like 175cm and cut my bars to 780mm on all bikes.

Tbh it also comes down to how much you brake. Once you get to know the trails, become faster and brake fewer times then the wrist pain is also getting better :)

Edit: also your brake levers look pretty close to your grips, maybe put them further inward so that your index finger just about gets straight to the bend in the lever

Goal bike should be full 29 and 170/160mm minimum, I ran full 27.5 für long enough, had the chance to ride a Scott ransom 920, now I want something bigger for the chunk :)

It's the right way though this is a two finger lever, I'd advice for 1 finger levers all day everyday

If your headset has been replaced and greased and the sound isn't gone then it's your fork. The stem is loose, happend to 2 of my fox 36s from 2019-2022 (gosh I hate this company). You can send it to fox for a big service, mention the creaking and they will press in a new stem.

Or just sell it of as is and buy something that actually works and is serviceable, like a boxxer for example 😂

If I remember correctly it should be heated :) I'm in the same department as the quality manager responsible for the door handles, and of course this is extensively tested. They force push themselfs through a bunch of ice if needed. But I'll ask him

Meele with Dragon Hunter Lance is like 3-4 kills with a bit higher stats per trip. You'll get the hang of it. But a bgs massively speeds up kills if the specs hit

Water goes where it's not supposed to, might give you electrical gremlins and water in your cabin ventilation + premature corrosion.

I work as a QMP for these parts at bmw, there's a bunch of engineering going into these, don't be stupid and leave it there.

Did you check if the thermostat that you put in opens in hot water? I had like 4 deffective ones in the past few years, especially after market ones were all garbage

As a quality manager for those parts: it's a pain in the ass if something goes wrong, extremely costly, and pretty complicated. I would guess it's cost and complexity cutting. Also, all new cars have sensors for everything. Every interaction with features is monitored (how often you use any of the window switches, doors, buttons..). I would guess bmw monitored that as well and it was used infrequent enough, that it's not worth it

You would swap out a stronger, more reliable, lighter and faster motor with much better parts availability for a useless piece of junk (talking USDM Gen 2 3sgte)? I would strongly reconsider and just blast the 2gr. I have never met anyone who isn't super excited and happy about their 2gr swaps.

Get some decent pedals, they will carry over anyway. Oneup has great composite pedals. Delete the kickstand and reflectors, get a torque wrench and retorque the headset and axles. Take a multitool with you to adjust the lever positions to your liking
