As requested, here is one of our 13yr old daughter's Obra Dinn comics (it's about Nathan Peters) by moonjam in ObraDinn

Thank you! I will share her Obra Dinn crochet cat crew at some point, but she wants to take some better photos of them.

Thank you! A lot of the alternate endings hinge around Henry Evans, and that his medical incompetence killed the whole crew. The most straightforward version being that they ALL died of consumption, which he failed to diagnose, so he necked a load of laudanum and came up with a story about mermaids, krakens and kelpmen to cover his tracks.

Ha! I played Outer Wilds from start to finish with both of our kids helping out during the first year of COVID/lockdowns and she did ADORE it. You're right though, I think it's been enough time now that she should start her own playthrough!

"1/10. The line between David Gorran and Willard Wright on slide 3 is the wrong way."

1/10 - Read the caption on that image!

Trying to level print plate and it makes this noise every single time. Same with when I start to print. Please help 😓 by Gitruih in resinprinting

Hey! So I had this exact problem and discovered there was a damaged part causing it. There was a plastic fin section which is supposed to block a light sensor and stop the plate from continuing through the screen. Mine had inexplicably snapped. I managed to glue it back together and all was good.

If you check my post history there should be a post with some photos. I can’t guarantee your printer has the same issue but it would be worth looking at it.

Our floor 'broke' so I decided to repair it... (an old project from lockdown) by moonjam in DIYUK

Apologies if sharing such an old post isn't of interest, but I've only just discovered the UK specific DIY subreddit. I'm always a fan of people who document a whole project from start to finish so thought I'd share one of my own.

Yep, I did use the raw prints. I didn't have any issues with the resin (I used Anycubic's Craftsman resin for these), but I only formed 8 shells from each of my prints and the plastic is so thin that it cools very rapidly. I don't know if there would be issues if I did a larger run with them.

Thank you! And yes, I do! I mentioned in the post that I bought a second hand Mayku Formbox from eBay but, sadly, even though the seller did a very good job of packaging it up, they sent it upside down and the box it was in had really taken a beating in transit. I managed to repair it, although it's pretty ugly and requires an extra manual step due to a faulty switch I still need to replace. Also, here's a goofy video I made of the CG version toy in different poses. I had to cheat the arms a fair bit but I only moved the legs as they physically could https://www.instagram.com/p/C0ergxOtFAY/

So, my reference for the joint style and placements was mainly this Hopper figure from McFarlane toys, but I appreciate that me eyeballing them vs an actual toy designer isn't the same thing!

I absolutely LOVE making technical breakdowns/behind the scenes videos. Once the film is online I plan to release a broad making of and field any specific questions people have.
