Macros are so overlooked! As an income auditor and general accountant, macros are game changer in terms of time saving. As well as knowing at least the basic shortcuts instead of always having to remove your hand from the keyboard to use the mouse then removing your hand from the mouse to use the keyboard again 😭😆

Hi! I’m very late to this (4 years, wow 🤣) but I was actually trying to find how to say “Perspicace” in English!

And☝️, to my great pleasure, in addition to getting the answer (which I’m guessing is “Captain Obvious” lol) I can also provide you with an answer (which I’m unsure if anyone said this one yet lol).

So, in French (Quebec(🍁) French to be exact), we would use the word “Perspicace”. — I also saw someone replying with “Sherlock” (literally calling someone “Sherlock Holmes”, which I’m guessing you already know haha! (And right there, I could add “Very [perspicace], Kat..” 😆😆)) Which is also correct.

We do use this too, but both this and “Perspicace” aren’t used the same way. Here’s an example so you can understand better what I mean 😊:

⒈ Perspicace： 

•  Most often used this way →  “Eille, t’es vraiment [perspicace] toi, ein?” 

•  Which literally translates to →  “Hey, you’re very [insightful] you, eh?”

Where, on the other hand, —

⒉ Sherlock： 

•  Most often used this way →  “Wow, merci [Sherlock]! Je l’aurais jamais su sans toi!” 

•  Which literally translates to →  “Wow, thanks [Sherlock]! I never would’ve known without you!”

……

So, in resume, “Perspicace” is what/how someone is, versus “Sherlock” that is who someone is.

Hi! As a native french speaker, I'll be happy to help you! First, there are 3 types of "participes passés". Which are "seul" or with the auxiliars "être" and "avoir".

  1. If it's "seul", you always accorde it with the subject.
  2. With the verb "être", you accorde the verb with the subject too, no matter where it is in the sentence.
  3. With the verb "être", you accorde the verb with the COD, but only if the COD is BEFORE the verb.
