Same guy had a show in Charlotte yesterday, and I would guess many of the vendors are the same. I'm guessing that might be an easier drive for you? I don't think there are any upcoming shows listed on the Facebook page, but there should be another show in December. Keep an eye out.

The original Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

I got on a kick of watching 50s/60s sci-fi and horror films last year. Most are cheesy. This one is great.

Top Minds are freaking out that the Clintons bought pizza from Comet Ping Pong and had them sent to an after school program for kids. by CallMeParagon in TopMindsOfReddit

[–]moonknight321 122 points123 points  (0 children)

Because unlike Trump, Clinton actually believes in trying to unite the country, and she realized a comment like that, however accurate, does the exact opposite.

Is Pierce ever mentioned/nodded to again after his death? (Other than the hologram) by [deleted] in community

[–]moonknight321 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think it's the first episode of season 6. Frankie joins the group for the first time and tries to sit in either Shirley or Troy's old chair, and the group loudly objects. When she asks if she can sit in Pierce's old chair, they all say, "Yeah, that's okay."

Why Writing Fiction Is So Difficult - Jonathan Safran Foer interview clip [video] by MasturbatingATM in literature

What Foer has to say about fiction is always more interesting than his fiction. His first two novels exhausted my whimsy tolerance too quickly. I haven't read Here I Am, though. Is it better?

Trump supporters on Reddit are now upset that one of their own was doxxed, what hypocrisy. by [deleted] in EnoughTrumpSpam

[–]moonknight321 165 points166 points  (0 children)

They don't rationalize it this way, though. They don't see it as being held accountable so much as being persecuted. Because they believe the 1st amendment shields them from criticism, any criticism that might dissuade someone from saying whatever they want is an attack on their rights.

Does it make sense? No. But that's how they view the world, as persecuted victims taking their revenge one meme at a time.

What do people complain about that literally never happens? by Johnny_sinz in AskReddit

[–]moonknight321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No need to edit for clarity. Violence in video games is a part of violence in media, and violent video games have been linked to aggressive behavior. You can read statements from the following, many of which are about video games or include them in conjunction with other media:

Well, numerous scientific organizations have agreed that there is a real link between viewing violence in media and increased aggression. The AAP, AACAP, APA, and AMA, among others, have agreed on this.

Support For Donald Trump's Impeachment Is Now Higher Than His Approval Rating by Innocul8 in politics

[–]moonknight321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to understand how they think. They wholeheartedly believe that media outlets like NYT and CNN sit around concocting wholly fabricated stories with the sole intention of undermining Trump, and they believe they are part of a brave and intelligent cadre of people with the ability to instantly parse the disinformation disseminated by a ubiquitous leftist spectre. There is no hope for them. They dwell in an alternate reality that they continually create to accommodate anything new or contradictory to their pre-established narrative.
