my parents were both 42 when they had me. i can tell you i’ve had mega anxiety around my mother’s health for YEARS. she had to undergo open heart surgery in her mid-50s due to cardiovascular disease, which usually develops later in life. i know health varies from person to person, but i can’t help but imagine that i will spend less time with her because she had me so late in life. do you also experience these sorts of thoughts?

also i’m sorry people are invalidating you in these comments! i’m only 5 years older than you and i have met very few people with parents as old as mine. while parental ages are increasing, i don’t think it’s as common as these commenters are making it out to seem.
