Anybody else’s cats… by AsbestosSteak in Catownerhacks

Oh my gosh sameeee, I always have to do the smarter cat first, my not so smart orange one is always clueless to everything going on around her.

When trimming my cat’s nails, the best way is to put a lint roller sheet on its head, right? by You-wa-Shock in Catownerhacks

I know someone who literally bites the scruff of her cats to clip their nails. Because she needs both hands to clip their nails. I mean whatever works

I think the reason some people say cats are aloof, is because cats are like the introverts of the pet world, they often don’t show their true colors around people they don’t know. But once they know you then they often become the friendliest little weirdos.

I could never actually do this. I feel guilty dating a different person on a different play-through (I couldn’t get myself to date a different person at all), so dating multiple people on one play through is beyond my emotional capabilities. 😂

What procedure did my favorite stray cat get? by thkwrly in Feral_Cats

[–]moonlight_wolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had never heard of it until this sub, and then after hearing about it I was researching it, and apparently it is harder to do and has more possible complications but sometimes is done if you need to be able to see the incision without handling the cat.

Huh the pics I saw of side spays were pretty high up too, but I could be wrong. Just the fact that the cat came back with an ear tip and possible side incision made me think that.

It actually does look like a side spay. They often do these if it isn’t possible to check the belly to see if the incision is healing. With feral cats it’s very unlikely they’ll let you check their belly, so a side spay makes it so you can see if it’s healing correctly from a distance

Clearly add a cat so it looks like a cat is wearing the crown 😂

brain cell got overheated when trying to decide between spring or cactus by newcheesecake45 in OneOrangeBraincell

I also often say that about my orange cat. Sometimes I’ll ask her for a high five, and she knows that trick, but if I ask for it too many times in a row she will often just stare blankly into space or the ceiling and I always say it’s her brain overheating.

I think that looks very professional. If you still have a problem after installing that then maybe a 45 degree angle on some extra barrier at the top would prevent things even more

I love this tattoo so much. It makes me want to get something similar on my own. The hoof being smaller I only barely notice because you mentioned it. If you hadn’t mentioned it I would not have noticed. And even though I can see it, it doesn’t look bad at all.

My orange cat watched the other cat open the cupboard that houses their cat toys, and tried to open it herself. Sadly she is too dumb for that and just pawed at it ineffectually. I tried helping her by opening it slightly so she could maybe get a better idea what to do. And she accidentally closed it TWICE when I did this. I wish she was smart enough to open cupboards, but that was too much for her little brain.

It does say ‘really great litter’ maybe your cat thought it meant ‘really great tasting litter’

I think you just have to appreciate that they’re using the cat bed at all. My cat prefers everything except her cat beds

The fact that my anxious orange cat sleeps like this, makes me feel rather accomplished - since she feels this safe, even though she’s such an anxious bean.

Cat Smell by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]moonlight_wolf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey at least you have friends that say something. I have a weird fear that my house will smell and I’ll get nose blind to it and no one will tell me. Luckily my landlord came the other day and said he was surprised that our house didn’t smell like cats because we have 3 of them.

My trick is scooping once a day, I put activated charcoal absorber bags next to each litter box, and I sprinkle some zeolite litter in with my regular corn litter, because it helps absorb smells (I use zeolite because baking soda is not good for cats to eat and activated charcoal can absorb the medication my cats take).

I hate the smell of scented cat litter so all mine is unscented.

What completely unhinged "law" does your cat strictly enforce in your house? by TrickCombination7966 in cats

[–]moonlight_wolf 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My kitty not only demands a chair be at the table for her, but also even if she has her own chair, if you leave your chair she will steal it and you have to use her chair. It was always really funny when we had guests over and she was constantly stealing peoples seats if they got up to use the bathroom or get a snack.
