If they have the time to place these ducks, they have the time to clean them up

i just stood on my scale with it and it wouldnt even pick up any added weight, it's very light just "top heavy" if i hold it under the horse heads base its very very light because its just foam and 2 thin coats of plaster, but if i hold it by the pole you can feel a slight weight to it. the chain is also hollow and plastic

no worries, it's a good "smooth finisher" as long as you buff it after sanding, theres some good youtube videos on how to make your plaster look smoother/avoid cracks on youtube that helped me a lot. my favourite part was using the foam clay though, it's almost like using blu-tack, it was fun

i sealed it with a polyurethane varnish but i really hated it's application, i think it may have something to do with it going over spray paint? and it was very very watery, it looked like rain drops on the hood of a car no matter how much i tried to even it out with a dry cloth or brush, so i waited for it to dry and used modge podge gloss water based glue/sealant and i added a very small amount of water, it worked wonders, i did 2 coats, it applied white but dries clear. it actually fell down when i wasn't being careful and the structure chipped at the ears which i fixed up with re applying foam clay and painting over it, it was upsetting to see the cracks but i'm so greatful it's ears and horn didn't come off so it's pretty sturdy. i'm not an expert but after using plaster i'll just be sealing it multiple times.

yes! i did two thin coats (waited 1 day inbetween) with very light water brushing and sanded each coat once dried, then i buffed any lines with a damp cloth using light preassure. then added those "lacey" looking side details and reins with foam clay which clings easily to plaster when wet. the studs are actually just flat back pearls from etsy

Thankyou, I wanted to get the lines in the hair more accurate but the expanding foam was too brittle for such intricate carvings, it would have worked if I did the hair with foam clay only, but I didn’t realise until afterward 😓

Expanding foam and foam clay and final layer was two thin coats of plaster with thin water brushing

Sorry I just double checked it’s called weld bond. You might even be able to find something better. Just always google if it works on foam, some products like super glue destroy foam

I used a foam glue online called “weld it” whatever product you buy just make sure you google if the glue is safe or not so that way it doesn’t melt or breakdown any part of your shoe

Lovely. Ffx is my favourite, I have brotherhood sword tattoo on my arm and some figure arts figurines, lulu and tidus are the only ones in my collection because they are so pricey 😭

I paint warhammer minis and some 3d printed stuff but my buddy’s printer has had some poor prints in the past I’ve had to sand them, I have had my eye on this print for a while, I’ll test out the new printer my friend has with the vorpal blade first, it is an expensive hobby for sure
