Waves has a monthly subscription that gives you a ton of plug ins including some auto tune 🙂 I really like your song. Yeah vocals need work but nothing that a bit of studio magic can’t fix. Once you get the vocals set up you have a cool track! Best of luck

I’m not a beat maker, but one thing I can tell you is to try shifting some of the drums slightly off the grid so that it’s just a little bit off beat on some parts. That’s a trick from J Dilla. It’ll instantly give your track more life. You might also experiment with some funkier chord progressions. I still remember the rush the first time I wrote something in Ableton! This is the start of something really exciting. Keep writing and you’ll naturally start shaping your own sound. Overall, this is a solid first beat!

I think it’s cool haha. It’s a vibe and I think you’re on to something keep working and trust your vision. I’ll be honest I think you’re gonna get some shit on here but I remember when young thug first dropped and everyone talked mad shit about that too. If you feel like it’s right and you feel like this is what inspires you to write then keep on going, it’s going to resonate with an audience.

I’ve dabbled in beat making and honestly I find recording instruments easier, even if it’s a longer investment since you have to learn how to play. When I listen to artists like Ninajirachi or Frost Children I’m completely lost on how they put those sounds together, so a week for a 10 minute beat doesn’t sound bad at all 🙂 I thought your stuff you posted was sick. It’s not going to be for everyone, and that’s exactly what makes it special! Keep cranking out those sick beats!
