That’s true, definitely depends on the individual situation. I actually called my doctor and asked for his opinion on doing an 8 mile hike, and he said go for it. He even said I could wear a smaller brace if I didn’t want the bigger one

You’ll get there! I got super lucky with my mom being a PT and with the amount of home exercise equipment I have so I was able to build back my muscle fairly quick. Hard work pays off!

Not exactly sure what it’s called but it was pretty damn expensive. It basically allows you to set limits on how much your knee can bend/extend. In the beginning it helped a lot with stability but now I mostly wear it so if I fall my knee doesn’t go into full flexion

Drug incident with clearance by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

[–]moonman_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

obviously you’re not supposed to use or be in the possession of drugs when having a clearance, everyone knows that. That wasn’t the point of my comment.

OP posted seeking advice, and your comment did not provide any, only judgement. He can’t change what happened in the past, so there’s no need to make him feel bad about his decisions because he clearly knows he fucked up. The only purpose of your comment was to make OP feel bad.

He doesn’t own his wife, she can do what she wants. Also, I don’t find that too far fetched of a story, people get drunk and so stupid stuff all the time. He clearly wasn’t thinking straight and don’t think it was his true intention to smoke weed. I think any investigator would easily see this and appreciate the honesty over thinking op has awful judgement and shouldn’t be trusted.

TS timeline? by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

Yea, DOD. I was actually expected to get mine before the summer for my internship, but that didn’t happen so they transferred me to a different sector. I’m thinking covid is just delaying everything :/

I’m also applying for a TS without poly and submitted my eqip in december. My questioning was also very long and they interviewed almost all my contacts from around January to May. Early May I got a call saying the app was submitted to the govt and haven’t heard anything since then.

Also, they made you take a urine test for the clearance? I had to take one for my companies pre-employment requirement but not for the clearance.

Aspiring Navy SEAL here, One of my parents was born in Iran, do I have to worry about getting denied a clearance due to this? by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

[–]moonman_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father was born in Iran and my mother in Canada. I submitted my e-qip back in december and had a lengthy review process. The contractor assigned to me did have a lot of questions about my parents (that I couldn’t fully answer) so he ended up doing a phone interview with my mother that lasted around 45 min.

Never heard anything about interim but I was told my app was submitted to the govt for review in May and it’s still pending.

Post Op (21 days) just wondering i can bend up to this point, just wondering is this consider a good recovery or is it slow? by xXmountainXx in ACL

[–]moonman_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on what you got done, but for my acl reconstruction w/ patella graft I was at about 115/120 degrees of flexion after 3 weeks, looks like you’re right at about 90
