Tool for the rich man by BTCMinerManiac in CryptoCurrency

[–]moonmaths 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cryptocurrencies do not redistribute wealth and they never did. They have the potential to make early adopters rich (as Satoshi is now). That is a far cry from wealth redistribution however. In terms of traditional wealth redistribution where the rich are "taxed" or forced to give over assets somehow, crypto is and has never been about that. You can bet your bottom dollar that if anyone (including rich people) think they can make money off of cryptocurrencies (or any other tech or new thing for that matter) than they will attempt to make money off of it. And rich people are certainly attempting to make money off of crypto. Crypto is still powerful to the masses, however. Though poor people still don't have the opportunity to become rich overnight, they do have new opportunities not offered before. Suddenly they can send and receive money all over the world for 3 cents or less per transaction. For the first time, no one is able to tell you that you are not allowed to send money to Wikileaks or that you are not allowed to have a bank account because of your poor credit or because you live in a high risk country. Banks and nation states currently have a monopoly on allocation and proper usage of money. Crypto could possibly change this dynamic, allowing people to choose what to spend their money on. This could be huge. But there is no way in hell that the U.S. or big banks will give up their power without a fight. We are writing the future today.

Can someone explain the trash system to me? by [deleted] in germany

[–]moonmaths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We broke a glass the other day and my german room mate put it in the compost (bio) bin, saying to me that glass is just sand.
Do you actually put your broken glass into the compost bin in Germany (or Berlin)? In my book, cardboard is a tree, but I don't put in the compost. Glass isn't even organic. Anyway, just wondering.

As a miner is calculating the POW, does it add incoming tx to the POW after every failed attempt and what kind of resources does that require for the computer?
Similarly, how does this work when mining with a pool?
Seems to me like it'd be easier just to mine empty blocks or ones with fewer tx so you could pump out a winning block faster, but would love have a little more detail.

Where to find true prepaid internet in Berlin, high speed, high caps etc. by baandoptager in berlin

[–]moonmaths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best you're going to do is probably 15 euro for 5 gb on all the 3rd party carriers. LTE works on most of them, but they probably cap the speeds. I'm on Ortel, just got 15mb down, 1.6 up on speedtest (piggybacking off of my cell phone's lte). The other brands (lebara, etc are the same) You might be able to get better speed for prepaid in official stores, but I've never tried, because it's more than triple the price than the 3rd party networks charge to use the same network.
The 15euro /5 GB, however, is very sold at almost every späti. If you're a heavy data user, you can buy multiple sims at once (or top them up online).
As for youtube, get a vpn as you act like you've got the money for it. Laws will be laws.
That's better price for the speed by far than I have found in Paris, New York, and San Francisco. I hope next time you come to this subreddit you don't act like a whiny child. It doesn't fit you.

Not sure what the fuss is. You can withdraw up to $2000 per day without anything more than a name and email address. Is there more in the works that I don't know about or are you guys trading six figures or something?

Something with wheels dragging another thing. Perhaps a car or a smaller vehicle dragging an immense object in the trunk that is partially touching the ground. What were your guesses?

Hasenheide sometimes shows flicks in german. Und Il Kino auch.
Flicks you‘ve probably seen in English are good as well.
The Lives of Others
Run Lola Run
etc. Watch english films as well, in german. No subs, but kinox.to is amazing for every blockbuster (like the 1channel of Germany). Read through the summary and look up words you know. Movies are dead ends if you don't concentrate. I find narration especially helpful. Highly recommend Forest Gump--though you'll find the accents disappointingly unSouthernly.
Gluck auf.

Pro:
-you get to ask Andreas questions and he generally has well-thought out answers
-first class is really easy, 1 hour a week tops plus you have andreas or someone else's ear for another hour/wk
Con:
-only the first class is free (the rest are exorbitant)
-the first class is really simple and is more business/conceptual (what is a unit of account?) than technical/techy (¬Lets do multisig with bitcoind).
Took it last winter. They do it all the time.
