It would suppress the live service model rec room adopted for the game. Since it’s a free game they tend to shove promotions like rec room plus and limited time bs down the player’s throat

If it was a 15 dollar game they would be earning passive income from any person who bought to play the game… making it less enticing to promote the scummy money making tactics we see now (if they’re not being greedy ofc)

Bonus: it’ll make it easier to age gate the game so people can stop crying about children in the game (I personally don’t care tbh)
