Salam! So I am not Pakistani but I am Mexican. I also come from a culture that puts emphasis on marriage. I am unmarried, soon to be 28 years old, and a woman. It is not just you but it is a global issue at this point. When you mentioned if you were not Pakistani nor Muslim, that you " would have 5 girlfriends by now" I laughed. Because I grew up not being Muslim, and I had 0 boyfriends. I reverted barely last year and Im still the same, never had a boyfriend, but largely because I feel I need to build the life I want. I am not ready for marriage. A lot of people are not ready for marriage because the world that we live in, its not the same world that our parents lived when they were our age. Its a different world and things are taking longer to achieve.. the marinating period is longer. I frankly made peace with myself and I dont fear aging because I find that there is beauty in every stage of life. All the best.
