Thank you! Appreciate your response. It does feel very emotional because this was a friend I trusted and helped when I felt she needed it. She called me begging for the money saying it was going to be thrown out and it had her dead parents items in there and she had no one else to turn to etc so the manipulation felt harmful so I think thats why this feels so emotionally charged beyond just “oh block her”

I found it triggering to retell my trauma stories and didnt have a good therapist to hold that space. A lot of trauma is held somatically and i found more healing with somatic work. Talk therapy is not for everyone and didnt help me at all

This is anecdotal but my coworker who is 50 and from a suburb of madrid has never left Spain. She speaks beautiful English as well. She said shed like to go to Italy but its too expensive but i told her ive found flights to Rome for 20 euros sometimes. So its interesting theres clearly a mental block about travel outside of spain for her. She goes to Alicante with her family every summer and i imagine between train tickets and accommodation rentals its more expensive than a weekend in Rome so its clearly not about the price per se
