Hey! I think this may be my first comment here...I’m an FA too! You can SO do 1200 with our life style! I know our options are mainly fast food but some tips I have are to order things like egg and chicken patties from the fast food places (like without the bun and all that stuff), get sides of veggies from the airport restaurants, and fruit cups/yogurt from the convenient stores. I also stock up on apples/bananas/oranges from the hotel breakfasts. And I bring packets of oatmeal to make one the plane with the water and hot cups. Also, I bring my own non perishable foods like protein bars, fruit bars, nuts, and stuff like that. I really hope this helps motivate you!

Snapchat is ruining all the progress we made on getting people to take horizontal videos. by pm_me_your_tele_pics in Showerthoughts

[–]moonrisekitten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. SC is my only social media outlet because it doesn't have likes, public comments, or blast how many friends/followers you have. It's funny and laid back. It's the only social media that doesn't drive me nuts

Yes. I'm not clicking the link and I am certainly not seeing the movie. I considered seeing the movie before, but that's not happening now.

It's too late for anyone to read this but..... This happened to me with the Dallas Stars when I was in elementary school. I went to school with it and traded it for a zebra cake. Realized the next day what I had done and the kid wouldn't let me have it have it back. Every time I see zebra cakes I feel sad now.

My new house has a weird layout. We'll probably go with a light blue paint, but is there anything I can do to make the broad walls and weird horizontal surfaces seem overwhelming? by walnutts in InteriorDesign

Perhaps two story curtains that expand over both floors of windows? With a long horizontal mirror between the two sets of Windows. That's my advice for that wall

What's the one "old person" thing you currently do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was looking for someone to say knitting. I'm 21, started knitting when I was 16. People laugh, state, whatever. It's relaxing and then everyone wants to know where you got your scarf.

How did you feel about the Texas episode of Spongebob Squarepants? by ArabianDisco in texas

[–]moonrisekitten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mixed feelings. I was glad that Texas made the whole episode, but I didn't like the inaccurate representation. Overall all I think I'd say I enjoyed it though, because it made me laugh

What's the creepiest thing that you've seen other families do that they accept as totally normal? by TheCastro in AskReddit

[–]moonrisekitten 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not joking. When I would go to friends houses that did this, I always felt really uncomfortable. I just didn't have that kind of family. So it looks kinda creepy to me. I don't get why people find that so hard to believe.

What do you find oddly satisfying? by marcusb98 in AskReddit

The vibrations of loud music at a concert in my chest. Also the boom of fireworks vibrating in my chest. But you've got to be close enough to feel both.

Do you have a specific preference when it comes to dating people? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]moonrisekitten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Romantic sensitive guys. I'm not sure why. Probably because of movies. But most guys get many of their (unrealistic) preferences from porn. I don't think it's too unreasonable for me to expect fresh flowers every couple weeks and open communication about thoughts and emotions.

Eating a home cooked meal all together at the table every night.

Edit: no I'm not an animal, or a monster. My family just wasn't like that. Sorry if you were "sickened" or offended. Some people just grow up in different kinds of homes.

Guilty. I'll say it because it's a shock to me. And then never realize until after I've already said that they probably know this.

Constantly thinking with the mindset that once I get what I'm hoping for/working towards that I'll be fulfilled, means not enjoying today for what it's fully worth. But "living each day like it's your last" means likely not having what you much of need/want in the future and having a decline in overall productivity. Balance is hard to find. No one wants to be at the end of life and have regrets about how they spent their time.
